Huge Announcement: AEW Icon Brian Cage

Brian Cage was one of the most frequently featured stars on AEW programming until a while ago. However, he has been away from the Jacksonville-based company for a while now. The former FTW Champion recently made a big announcement during an interview.

While speaking on the Muscle and Fitness podcast, Cage revealed that he is currently writing an autobiography. He stated that he is going tell a lot of stories in the book and will be talking about himself and his injuries.

“I actually started writing a little bit of a biography about myself, why I was injured this past year and I’m writing all these different stories and things and how I remember them… I’m laughing and I think it’s kind of funny and you know telling certain stories,” he said.

It is always great to read about insights from the personal and professional lives of wrestling talent. It will be interesting to see how the fans will respond to the book when it finally comes out.

Brian Cage has been out of action since March 2025

Brian Cage was part of a team named Cage of Agony along with the Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona). He left the group to join the Don Callis Family at an episode of Dynamite in October 2024. He had recently won the Ring of Honor World Television Championship at AEW WrestleDream that year after defeating Atlantis Jr.

He formed a team with the Family’s Lance Archer and the duo started calling themselves “The Murder Machines”. Cage lost the ROH World Television title in December 2024 to Komander at Survival of the Fittest. It was reported in April last year that Cage suffered a torn quadricep and will be out of action. His last match in AEW was a Six-Man Tag Team match along with Takeshita and Archer against Powerhouse Hobbs and The Conglomeration in March 2025.

Fans are hoping to see Brian Cage back in the ring soon now that he’s medically cleared to compete again.
