Two big-hitting players, Matteo Berrettuını and Valentin Vacherot, will lock horns in an exciting third-round encounter at the 2026 Miami Open.
Vacherot, the 24th seed at this year’s tournament, is in the form of his life. He is sitting at a career-high ranking of No. 25 courtesy his breakthrough Shanghai Masters win last year. He has put together a modest 9-6 win-loss for 2026, with a couple of Tour quarterfinals and an Australian Open third round to show for.
The Monegasque player received a bye in the opening round and began his Miami campaign with a straight-sets win over Mariano Navone in the second.
Berrettini, meanwhile, continues to work his way back up the rankings after injury struggles. In 2026, he missed the Australian Open swing but returned to action February. He has made a quarterfinal in Rio but lost early elsewhere, resulting in a 6-4 win loss.
The Italian has been solid in Miami though, beating Alexandre Muller in his first match before stunning 10th seed Alexander Bublik in the second. The latter is his best win by ranking since Alexander Zverev in Monte-Carlo last April.

For both Matteo Berrettini and Valetin Vacherot, their biggest strength lies with their serves. Both men set themselves up for rallies with explosive serving and fans can expect quite a few aces in this contest.
