Matt Cardona mocked Randy Orton following his attack this past Friday night on WWE SmackDown. The Viper won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match last month to earn a title shot at WrestleMania 42.
Randy Orton brutally attacked Matt Cardona on SmackDown after he confronted him about his assault on Cody Rhodes. The Viper ambushed Rhodes during their contract signing for their Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania and bashed him over the head with a chair.
Thanks for the submission!
Cardona mocked Orton today by sharing lyrics to his old theme song and an image of himself getting hit with an RKO. You can check it out in his Instagram post below.
“Hey…nothing you can say. Nothing’s gonna change what you’ve done to me,” he wrote.
Orton has also been talking to a mystery caller since his surprising heel turn. The caller is in favor of his attacks on The American Nightmare, but his identity remains unknown.
WWE Hall of Famer reacts to Randy Orton getting a title shot at WrestleMania
Wrestling legend Booker T recently shared why he thought it was important for Randy Orton to be in a prominent position heading into WrestleMania 42.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T stated that it was good for The Apex Predator to be in the main event scene because it is unknown how much longer he can perform at that level. The legend added that Orton needed to be managed properly to get the most out of the rest of his career.
“I think it’s good for Randy to be in that picture just because Randy’s not going to be able to be in that picture for many more years. And me as promoter, I definitely got to take notice of that, and I got to be able to use this thing properly as far as how much time do I really have with Randy Orton? So, I got to really be able to manage that thing properly,” Booker T said.
It will be interesting to see who is revealed to be the person calling Orton on the road to WWE WrestleMania 42.
