Ready or Not 2: Here I Come develops Grace MacCaullay’s storyline after her survival in the first film, which made it clear that the deadly ritual related to the mysterious pact with Mr. Le Bail was far from over. The second movie broadens the original plot by featuring a greater number of prominent families who are also obliged to follow the same evil rules.
With Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, the results are much more drastic because Grace has to engage in another dangerous game that even threatens her sister’s life. Besides that, this movie also focuses on the emotional disconnection between Grace and her younger sister, Faith.
Whereas the first movie was about a fight for survival in a crazy family, the second one brings in the themes of guilt, abandonment, and reconciliation, thus making the story more intimate amidst the disorder.
Note: Spoilers ahead for the movie; viewer discretion is advised.
In Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Grace survives once again by outsmarting the ritual, killing Titus, and rejecting the cult’s power before dawn.
What happens in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come?
In Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Grace seems to have escaped the le Domas family’s horrors, only to be caught soon after by Faith, their estranged sister. The pair is taken by a new group linked to the same demonic pact.
This group is part of a council made up of powerful families who fight for control through a ritual game centered on a special ring. Plus, the rules are simple but harsh: if Grace lives until dawn, she wins control.
If any family kills her, they take it instead. A twist appears when one council member says Grace could end the game by marrying into one of them, giving power to that family, and keeping her alive, though, at least in theory, this option isn’t guaranteed to work.
During the night, alliances are broken, and a few of the council members are killed for rule violations. The atmosphere gets more and more unstable with several factions fighting for dominance. On the other hand, Grace and Faith must put their differences aside and cooperate.
The climax is reached when Titus Danforth arrests Faith and will kill her if Grace does not yield. Grace is left with no other choice but to offer marriage to her sister as a way to put an end to the game and rescue her. This move allows for the final act in the film, where survival relies on both planning and timing.

What happens to Grace at the end of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come?

The main event of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come highlights the inner struggle of Grace during the bit wedding ceremony. She looks like she is going to give in to her destiny, but her behaviour shows that she has something else in mind.
Without giving any signs, as soon as the ceremony is over, she kills Titus, referring to the same rule that he had mentioned that family members can be killed without breaking the rules.
Having killed Titus, Grace gains control of the council by the book. But, instead of taking power, she makes a very important decision to refuse it. She hurls the ring – a symbol of power into a pit, causing the other members to become disordered as they try to get it.
As the ceremony demands that somebody should be the master before the break of dawn, the rest of the people start to physically attack one another in a very frantic way so as to have the ring in their possession.
Unfortunately, nobody is able to do it on time. Therefore, the whole set, apart from the Lawyer, suffers the very terrible fate of being blown up which was also demonstrated in the first movie, what long ago expected the requirements of the agreement.
At the end of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Grace survives, but she probably avoids getting locked into the cult’s hierarchy. She and Faith walk away from the scene together, which suggests their strained connection might finally heal.
The film shows that no lasting pact was made with the demonic entity since the ritual never finished. And the ending doesn’t explicitly lead into the next film, yet it hints at future tales in the same world. And the council’s collapse raises questions about what follows, mostly since those families were shown to have global reach.
