Lamar Odom's ex Khloe Kardashian reveals she punched him in the face after learning of drug abuse

Khloe Kardashian has made a startling revelation about her past relationship with former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom. The reality TV star admitted she once punched him in the face after discovering him using drugs during one of the darkest periods of his life. The incident is detailed in the upcoming Netflix documentary series Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, which revisits the former Lakers forward’s near-fatal overdose in 2015.

The series is set for release in April 2026 and includes candid recollections from both Kardashian and Odom where she admits she assaulted her ex-husband.

In the documentary, Kardashian describes the moment she discovered Odom using drugs in a house she had arranged for his recovery, complete with a chef and caretaker.

She recalls arriving unannounced and immediately noticing signs of relapse: “So at this point, Lamar can barely talk. He can speak a little bit but it’s more like, “Mmhmm,” and everything’s delayed. He wasn’t able to take a shower on his own,” Kardashian said.

She went on to describe the moment she entered the property and recognized the smell of drugs.

“Once you know the smell of crack, it’s the most identifiable, disgusting smell, and there’s nothing that you can confuse it with. And I remember stopping by the house and I smelled crack,” Kardashian said.

“I remember slowly tiptoeing up the stairs, he was in his bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed, smoking crack, and I just punched him in his face,” Kardashian said. “I just put my life on hold to f**king take care of you.”

    Allegations of deceit and manipulation

She also stated that she believed Odom had been manipulating the situation, claiming she discovered a cell phone in his possession despite earlier assumptions that he had none.

“He was playing me so I could continue this lifestyle for him,” Kardashian said.

“I said, ‘By Monday you need to be out of this house, I’m done, I’m not paying for a thing and I never want to speak to you again’.”

In the documentary, Odom offers limited commentary on the confrontation but reflects more broadly on his addiction struggles.

He describes it as “f**ked up” that someone would supply him drugs after his previous overdose experience.

The former Laker, who earned $114 million during a 14-year NBA career and was named Sixth Man of the Year in the 2010-11 season, married Kardashian in 2009 after a brief courtship.

However, Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013, bringing an end to their marriage – though the process was delayed until it was finalized in 2016.

    More legal troubles ahead

Beyond the documentary, Odom has recently faced further legal issues. Last week, his attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf in a DUI case in Las Vegas.

Attorney Kevin Coburn appeared in court while Odom was not present, also requesting a bench trial scheduled for July 7.

The charges stem from an arrest in which Odom was accused of driving under the influence and traveling at speeds exceeding 100 mph.

Authorities alleged that Odom admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that day and struggled during sobriety tests. Officers ultimately charged him with DUI, speeding more than 41mph over the limit, and improper lane usage.

He has denied being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time, though reports from police suggested signs of impairment, including bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of marijuana.

In a public statement following the arrest, Odom said he is “learning from this experience,” as his ongoing legal and personal challenges continue to unfold.
