Bronny James' incredible G League stats have LeBron James going wild

Despite Bronny James not getting that much more playing time this season than he did as a rookie, it’s been clear to many that he’s developing as a player. Even Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has admitted as much, praising the second-year player for continuing to get better.

The numbers bear it out, too. All of Bronny’s shooting numbers are much better than his rookie season, as is his Player Efficiency Rating. That has earned him more playing time than usual as the regular season comes to a close. Bronny can attribute a lot of his development to his continued playtime with the Lakers’ G League team. What he’s doing for the South Bay Lakers is actually stunning.

Bronny James is 14-0 with South Bay Lakers

On Saturday, James put up 26 points (six three-pointers), seven rebounds and five assists. South Bay won the game, giving James a 14-0 record with the G League team when he plays for them.

Bronny is starting to come into his own as a player, and appears to be finding his game. He had already showcased some of his newfound confidence on the NBA court, with his three-pointer on an assist from his father, LeBron James, making league history.

Speaking of LeBron, he was tuned in for Bronny’s G League game and was there every step of the way.

With LeBron having just celebrated his 41st birthday in December, he’s preparing to hand over the reins to Bronny. If the 21-year-old continues to develop this quickly, he should be able to carve out a consistent role on the Lakers or any future NBA teams.
