Game mechanic updates, new ways to earn rewards, and of course, a host of unique and returning items, and some new player improvements are on the way. There’s a lot to be excited about, as we shift towards this new era of Elder Scrolls Online.

ESO Season Zero kicks off on April 2, 2026, at 10 AM ET on both PC and Consoles. One of the most important parts of this update, is that patches will no longer be split into separate dates, but will drop at the same time. Here’s everything you need to know about Elder Scrolls Online: Dawn and Dusk.

When does ESO Season Zero go live on all platforms?

ESO Season Zero begins on April 2, 2026 at 10 am ET across both PC and Consoles. It’s definitely an exciting time for Elder Scrolls fans, that’s for sure. It will be available until July 8, 2026.

ESO Season Zero brings a remake to Two-Handed Weapons and Dragonknight

ESO Season Zero brings a few very important features to the game, primarily an update to Two-Handed Weapons, and the Dragonknight class. Both have been redesigned, and are worth checking out. There were also improvements to the Werewolf skill line, but that won’t be available until a patch coming in June 2026.

Coming later in the update is the Night Market, where players will pledge themselves to one of three factions. There will be new characters, quests, and naturally, cool rewards to pick up here, in a PVE, group-oriented new area. However, this won’t be available until later, for a limited time: April 29 through June 17, 2026.

The Gold Coast Bazaar is a new type of in-game store in ESO Season Zero, where players can use Trade Bars to pick up a variety of items, both evergreen, and seasonal. These Trade Bars will be primarily available in the Seasonal Tome, as one of the rewards. You can also get them from in-game events, and the PVP Veterancy Track. Thankfully, this is not something you can buy with real money, either.

Finally, there’s also the Tomes, which are the new Battle Pass system. Depending on which version of the Tome you have (Free or Premium), it changes drastically how much time you have to complete the Tome and get all the rewards. If you buy the Premium Tome, you have no time limit, and continue to grind even months after the season ends, so that might be something to consider. There’s plenty to be excited about, as Season Zero begins in Elder Scrolls Online.
