The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly signing Kaiir Elam on Thursday to strengthen their secondary after missing the playoffs in 2025.
The former Buffalo Bills cornerback, who was drafted by the franchise at No. 23 in 2022, split last season between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tennessee Titans. NFL fans reacted to the signing on X.
Thanks for the submission!
“Help them do what exactly?????? He was TRASH here in Dallas,” a fan wrote.

“Poetic justice if he terrorizes the chiefs in the afc championship and let’s the bills go to the Super Bowl,” one fan tweeted.
“Honestly, watching Bills fans crash out when he becomes awesome is going to be more exciting than KC filling their DB hole with a castoff 🤣,” another fan wrote.
“Typical Chiefs. Signing old ass players then wondering why half the team is injured mid season,” a fan said.
“He’s already helped the Chiefs win AFC Championships, makes sense to pay him now,” one fan commented.
“He won’t help bolster anything.. getting turned into burnt toast is all he will do,” another fan said.
Elam’s addition came after Kansas City traded Trent McDuffie to the LA Rams for draft picks on March 11. The Chiefs also lost Jaylen Watson to the Rams in free agency.
