UFC Freedom 250 is set to offer unprecedented financial incentives. Dana White and Co. have notably increased the performance bonuses for the event, giving fighters a chance to earn nearly $1 million in additional prize money.
The promotion had already announced a $1 million crypto bonus for the event, but now it seems that won’t be the only additional prize the fighters will be eligible for.
During the pre-fight press conference at the Lincoln Memorial, the UFC CEO announced a notable increase in the traditional Fight of the Night (FOTN) and Performance of the Night (POTN) bonuses.
The promotion has quadrupled the performance bonuses from the standard $100K to $400K for the FOTN and $425K for the POTN winners.

Speaking to the desk analysts during the event, White said:
“You could win the Fight of the Night, and the Performance of the Night; it’s like a million dollars. You win $1 million bucks. So there’s big money on the line- high stakes.”

Interestingly, however, the UFC will not be covering the additional payout, as the increase comes through a sponsorship with Liberty Financial.
The White House event will feature the highest performance bonuses in the Las Vegas-based promotion’s history. The previous record was set at UFC 300, where performance bonuses were increased to $300,000.
UFC Freedom 250 will take place on Sunday, June 14, at the South Lawn of the White House, with around 4,000 VIPs expected to attend the event live at the venue. An additional 80,000 – 85,000 fans will join a watch party at Ellipse Park.
Dana White dismisses concerns about the elements ruining UFC Freedom 250
Dana White has never been a fan of hosting fights outdoors, yet that is exactly what he will be doing at UFC Freedom 250.
In the lead-up to the event, concerns have emerged over how the elements could impact the card, with some even questioning whether unfavorable weather conditions could force a cancellation.
During the event’s pre-fight press conference, White was asked about the potential impact of the weather on the show. The UFC CEO, however, offered a firm assurance, saying:
“Listen, the show goes on on Sunday, no matter what. We’re going. Who cares if it rains, snows, whatever happens, we are, we’re fighting on Sunday. So, I’m sick and tired of hearing about the weather now, and all the other bullsh**t surrounding this event. We are fighting on Sunday night on the White House lawn, no matter what!” [1:40 mark of the interview]
