Atlanta Falcons star Bijan Robinson and Detroit Lions standout Jahmyr Gibbs both held out of training camp practices Wednesday, creating buzz around two of the NFL’s premier young running backs.
Contract discussions have led to the hold-ins
Robinson and Gibbs both being in attendance at camp make them hold-ins, rather than holdouts. As to what led to the non-participation for the two star running backs, it all has to do with contract negotiations.
Atlanta has had ongoing contract negotiations with Robinson, as has Detroit with Gibbs. Both running backs are seeking long-term extensions that reward them handsomely for being among the best running backs in the league over the previous two seasons.
