Saturday a blockbuster day of women’s fourth-round U.S. Open matches

The U.S. Open is full of blockbuster third-round women’s matches on Saturday. Every women’s match on Saturday includes at least one seed, including some of the biggest names in tennis competing. Four Americans play on Saturday in the bottom half of the women’s draw, seeking to join three compatriots from the top half in the fourth round.

Amanda Anisimova on Louis Armstrong and Madison Keys on Court 17 begin play for the American Women on Saturday at 11 ET. Coco Gauff plays the second-day match on Arthur Ashe Stadium on Saturday afternoon and Iva Jovic is the first prime-time match there.

The other four women’s matches on Saturday are 13th seed Naomi Osaka against 23rd seed Elise Mertens, former US Open Champion Iga Swiatek versus 25th seed Marie Bouzkova, second seed Elena Rybakina playing Yulia Starodubtseva and 2026 French Open Champion Mirra Andreeva is matched against Nikola Bartunkova.

Gauff continues her quest for a second US Open title and the No. 1 WTA ranking for the first time. Rybakina would have to lose before the semifinals and Gauff needs to win the title to earn the top WTA ranking. Gauff reached the third round with straight-set wins over Zeynep Sonmez and Paula Badosa.
