WWE Hall of Famer on one major thing Bayley can do in AEW

A WWE Hall of Famer wants to see Bayley in AEW and has revealed a major role she could play in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Bayley’s ongoing tenure in WWE has left much to be desired as the former multi-time Women’s Champion finds herself in a slump. The Role Model was written off TV in July after losing to Lyra Valkyria at SNME 45 in New York but made a dramatic return to the promotion this past week on RAW to attack her former best friend. That said, Bayley’s pro wrestling legacy is no joke, and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross believes she could play a major role in AEW if she becomes available.

On a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, the legendary commentator said the experience Bayley brings to the table could matter to the younger female stars in All Elite Wrestling, adding that she could be a leader.

“She could answer questions that some of these young ladies might not have the answers to. She could be a leader… And she’s still a hell of a hand,” said JR. [H/T: WrestlingWorldCC on X]

AEW Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone on potentially facing Bayley again

In a recent interview with the Daily Star, Mercedes Mone made yet another Bayley tease, saying that having a match with the role model again would be a dream bout for her, as she considers Bayley one of her greatest opponents of all time. The reigning AEW Women’s World Champion specifically said, “You never know,” when it comes to them sharing ring space again.

“You never know in wrestling. That’s always a dream match for me, that is to have another match with her. She is one of my greatest opponents of all time. Of course, everybody knows one of our greatest matches together, [NXT TakeOver] Brooklyn, that’s really changed the way people viewed women’s wrestling. But, yeah, it’s always a dream match for me. It’s always a dream match for me. So, you never know,” Moné said. [H/T:WON]

Bayley is reportedly still to sign a new deal with WWE, but she might do so soon. Regardless, a move to All Elite Wrestling remains a possibility as long as the pen is not put to paper.
