  • Here's how Travis Kelce won over Taylor Swift: He got her number and made the first move

Here's how Travis Kelce won over Taylor Swift: He got her number and made the first move

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance has been one of the most talked-about celebrity relationships in recent memory.

New details are emerging about how it all began, including confirmation that Kelce made the first move and that the couple had already been dating before Swift’s first appearance at a Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023.

According to a source exclusively speaking to Parade, Swift and Kelce began talking in August 2023. It was Kelce who initiated contact, with the insider confirming that he “got her number and made the first move.”

This aligns with what Swift revealed in her TIME “Person of the Year” interview in December 2023, where she shared that their relationship quietly began after Kelce called her out on his podcast, New Heights.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that,” Swift told TIME.

“By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date.”

    Timeline confusion

The timeline of their relationship has been a topic of speculation, especially after reality TV star Wes Bergmann claimed that he knew about their romance months before it became public.

Bergmann, who appeared on The Traitors, previously stated that he was aware of the relationship before Swift’s public debut at a Chiefs game in September 2023 because he was Kelce’s neighbor.

However, in a statement posted on X on March 4, he walked back his claims, acknowledging that Kelce didn’t even move into the luxury Kansas City apartment complex until November 2023-two months after Swift’s first public outing in support of him.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift explained in her TIME interview.

  • Injured player's sacrifice at NFL Combine puts him on Chiefs' radar

Injured player's sacrifice at NFL Combine puts him on Chiefs' radar

The Kansas City Chiefs received some good news last week when Travis Kelce announced he would be returning next season.

It comes after weeks of speculation over the 35-year-old’s future, as questions hung over the star tight end following the Chiefs’ heavy defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

Kelce’s return certainly means the Chiefs will continue to be one of the most covered teams next season, as his relationship with music sensation Taylor Swift will no doubt bring plenty of eyes to the game.

However, on the field, the Chiefs may have to readjust how they use the future Hall of Famer, who showed signs of slowing down last season.

That means the Chiefs could use the upcoming NFL Draft to address life after Kelce. Tyler Warren is one name attracting plenty of attention, but with Kansas City drafting down at No.31, the former Penn State star will be long gone by that point.

Player grabs headlines at the NFL Combine

One player who could be on the Chiefs’ radar is former Texas tight end Gunnar Helm.

The tight end didn’t turn heads after a less than impressive showing in the 40-yard-dash, but it’s what came after that has everyone talking.

Pictures showed Helm was running with a sprained ankle, and while it doesn’t mean he would have delivered a stellar 40-yard-dash time, it does show teams that he has enough toughness to play in the league.

Aside from that, Helm has shown himself to be one of the better pass-catching prospects in the draft. He may not excel in run-blocking, and that will have to improve if he wants to become more than a TE2 on any team.

However, his ability to perform despite carrying a pretty gruesome injury may be enough to keep Helm from dropping all the way down to Day 3, and could be enough to have the Chiefs take him as the heir to Kelce.

Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt gets over Super Bowl defeat with memorable post

After the Kansas City Chiefs suffered a tough 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, shared a powerful message to the fanbase on social media.

Though the outcome wasn’t what she had hoped for, Hunt took time to express her pride and gratitude for the team’s remarkable season.

“Although it wasn’t the result we were hoping for, I’m so proud of this team’s heart and the incredible season we had,” Hunt wrote.

“Thank you to our sweet friends and family who came to support this weekend and stayed through the post-game reception.”

She also acknowledged the efforts of the Chiefs organization.

“Thank you to every person in the Chiefs organization for going above and beyond in all you do-we love you like family.”

“Thank you to the incredible fans who bleed red with us. You all are the heartbeat of Chiefs Kingdom and are truly the best fans in the NFL. We’ll be back, Chiefs Kingdom.”

Gracie Hunt embraces the offseason with gratitude and adventure

In the weeks following the Super Bowl, Hunt has found ways to embrace both relaxation and adventure. She has shared glimpses of her busy February, which included a tropical vacation, a ski chalet getaway, and even gym sessions with U.S. Olympian Emma Coburn.

These moments showcased her ability to make the most of the offseason while reflecting on life’s journey.

In one post, Hunt expressed her gratitude for all the experiences that shape her life.

“The February Files: Feeling thankful for every moment that shapes life’s beautiful mosaic-the tough, the painful, the joyful, and everything in between,” she shared.

  • Pete Carroll's bizarre mid-air meeting with Seahawks opens up Geno Smith trade possibility

Pete Carroll's bizarre mid-air meeting with Seahawks opens up Geno Smith trade possibility

Pete Carroll is preparing for his first major public appearance as Las Vegas Raiders head coach at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

However, even before arriving at the event, he found himself at the center of speculation following an unusual mid-flight interaction with Seattle Seahawks officials.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Grant Cohn, Carroll shared a flight to Indianapolis with Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald and general manager John Schneider.

During the flight, the former Seahawks coach reportedly left his seat and spent nearly an hour talking to Macdonald and Schneider in first class. His extended conversation was so noticeable that flight attendants eventually asked him to return to his seat.

Could Carroll be plotting a reunion with Geno Smith?

Given Carroll‘s long-standing relationship with Schneider and his recent advisory role with the Seahawks, a conversation between them wouldn’t normally raise eyebrows. However, the timing and duration of their discussion have led many to wonder if they were talking business – specifically about quarterback Geno Smith.

The Raiders are currently in search of a long-term solution at quarterback after Jimmy Garoppolo‘s struggles last season. Aidan O’Connell showed promise in his rookie year, but it’s unclear if Las Vegas views him as their starter moving forward.

Carroll, who played a pivotal role in Smith‘s resurgence with the Seahawks, could see the veteran quarterback as a strong fit for the Raiders‘ offense.

Smith is still under contract with Seattle but has been mentioned in trade rumors throughout the offseason. If the Seahawks are considering moving him, Carroll‘s Raiders would be a logical destination given his familiarity with the player.

However, while the speculation is intriguing, it remains highly unlikely that serious trade discussions took place mid-flight in a public setting. Raiders general manager John Spytek was not present, making it doubtful that any formal negotiations were happening.

Regardless of the nature of Carroll‘s conversation, the situation has added another layer of intrigue to the Raiders’ quarterback search. If Carroll is indeed interested in reuniting with Smith, there could be more developments in the coming weeks as teams prepare for the 2025 NFL season.

  • Chiefs think they could 'make up' for Travis Kelce's departure with another player already on team

Chiefs think they could 'make up' for Travis Kelce's departure with another player already on team

The Kansas City Chiefs is still not entirely sure whether Travis Kelce will be available for the 2025 NFL season, but they could already have a player who would make a departure easier.

There are strong suggestions that Kelce could retire from the sport following the Super Bowl defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.

The tight end is taking some time away to reflect on the decision whilst spending time with his partner, Taylor Swift.

The 35-year-old has been given until March 14 to decide and the fact that it is taking so long to decide shows that retirement is a genuine possibility for Kelce.

He has not excelled over the past year in the way that he has in the past, totaling 823 yards and three touchdowns from 97 receptions. The numbers are still good, but he has produced better in the past.

    Who could replace Travis Kelce?

The Chiefs have to start planning for the eventuality that Kelce is not at Andy Reid‘s disposal, and ESPN’s Mima Kimes thinks that there is already a player on the Chiefs roster who could soften the blow of Kelce retiring.

“I think it’s a big loss. I also think, though, getting Rashee Rice, depending on his health, might compensate for that in some ways,” Kimes said on The Mina Kimes Show. “I think the loss of Rashee Rice was kind of slept on.”

Rice suffered a serious knee injury against the Los Angeles Chargers and since then, he has only managed to make four appearances. Before that injury, Rice was in very respectable form, having 288 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 71 receiving yards per game.

Perhaps Kelce retiring could be the boost that Rice needs to finally fulfil his undoubted potential and become an important player for the Chiefs on a regular basis.

  • Miles Teller paused his friendship with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce over the Super Bowl: 'My mom could've been on the field…'

Miles Teller paused his friendship with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce over the Super Bowl: 'My mom could've been on the field…'

Miles Teller may be a good friend of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, but there was no way the diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan was going to put his fandom to the side on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Top Gun: Maverick star and wife Keleigh Sperry Teller have become good friends of Swift and Kelce over the years.

However, when it comes to football, Teller is and always will be an Eagles fan, which is why he was fully behind his team at Super Bowl LIX on February 9.

“I think it was pretty clear in that situation as a diehard Eagles fan, I didn’t have mixed feelings about it,” Teller told E! News. “It didn’t matter who they were playing.

“My mom could’ve been on the field [instead of] the Chiefs and I would’ve been like, ‘Go Birds.’”

In the end Teller was the one celebrating, along with the rest of Eagles nation, as Philadelphia cruised to a dominant 40-22 victory in New Orleans.

Jason Kelce also had to pick a side for the Super Bowl

While Teller had no problems sticking with his allegiance to the Eagles at the Super Bowl, the decision wasn’t as clear for Jason Kelce and wife Kylie.

With brother Travis lining up for the Chiefs against the team he called home for 13 seasons, Jason talked about his mixed emotions regarding the game in a post on X.

“I knew it was going to be mixed emotions before, during, and after, and I now know what my parents had to deal with two years ago,” Jason wrote, referring to the 2023 Super Bowl when he and Travis faced one another.

“On one hand, I wanted what is best for my brother, and to see his success. And on the other hand, there are so many people, teammates, and coaches, in the Philadelphia Eagles organization that I care deeply about, many of whom I owe my own success to throughout my career.”

While Jason was happy to see Philadelphia come out on top, he also made it clear his brother wouldn’t want his pity after coming up short.

“There isn’t a person I love or care about more,” Jason added. “It has been tough to process these feelings, of course I feel for him and am always rooting for him, but I know he does not need, nor want my pity.

“He has amassed greatness few on this planet could ever dream of, as has his team, and they should feel pride in their accomplishments this season and in the past. Go Birds.”

  • Harrison Butker sends bizarre message to Chiefs teammates after Super Bowl loss

Harrison Butker sends bizarre message to Chiefs teammates after Super Bowl loss

Harrison Butker found himself having a truly terrible evening in New Orleans, with the Super Bowl defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles only being half of the problem for the kicker.

Butker was a non-factor against the Eagles in a game that proved to be a walkover, and stopped the Chiefs from achieving a historic three-peat. That chance may never come around again, certainly not for this exact group of players.

With all of that to dal with, Butker got back to the locker room after the match and went to change back into his pre-game suit, only to find it had been stolen from his locker.

Butker reportedly quipped that, given his locker was next to star quarterback Patrick Mahomes‘ locker, the thieves may have mistakenly taken the wrong guy’s stuff.

    Butker turns to God

Later on Instagram, he chose to focus on his well-publicized devout catholic faith to help him get over the sporting disappointment that he had suffered.

Sharing a series of images from the weekend as well as a visual depiction of a bible scene, Butker wrote: “‘For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.’ Galatians 6:3. Grateful for this season and all of the memories. Thankful for the wins and the losses, the successes and failures. God is good, we are nothing without Him!’

Some have called for head coach Andy Reid to resign following the big defeat, with FOX reporter Rob Parker saying: “Andy Reid should step down as head coach of the Chiefs… This fall off the cliff is 2 years in the making.

“When I see greatness, I will embrace it. I didn’t see greatness with this team the last 2 years. I know they won the Super Bowl last year, but they weren’t a great team until they won the Super Bowl. They were bad.”

  • Cardi B blasts President Trump for Super Bowl chaos that ruined her $3k shoes

Cardi B blasts President Trump for Super Bowl chaos that ruined her $3k shoes

Cardi Bdid not hold back her frustration after her Super Bowl LIX experience took an unexpected turn, courtesy of heightened security measures surrounding President Donald Trump‘s attendance.

The rapper took to Instagram Live following the game, expressing her outrage over her damaged $3,000 Louboutin shoes, which she blamed on the logistical restrictions imposed at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

“Look how f-ked up my shoes [are],” Cardi B exclaimed in a clip later shared on X. “This shoe cost me three bands. All because of Trump. Now I like him lesser!”

The 32-year-old artist explained that due to the president’s presence, VIP cart services were halted at a certain point inside the stadium, forcing her to walk much farther than anticipated. That trek, she claims, left her designer footwear scuffed and ruined.

“You didn’t have to go to no damn Super Bowl. F**king up my shoe!” she continued, clearly irritated by the inconvenience.

Still fuming about the situation, Cardi B jokingly suggested that Trump should make it up to her by reversing a previous immigration decision involving a family member.

“I want my uncle back,” she said, referencing her deported relative. “That’s the least you could do.”

However, she quickly admitted that her request was unlikely to be fulfilled. “Well, he definitely ain’t going to do that,” she acknowledged.

Trump, who recently resumed office for his second term, has made immigration enforcement a central focus of his administration.

His mass deportation policies have led to widespread concerns, particularly among communities like Cardi B‘s, who have openly criticized their impact on families.

While the rapper was dealing with her personal frustrations, Trump appeared to enjoy his time at the game.

The 78-year-old leader made history as the first sitting U.S. president to attend a Super Bowl, staying for the first half before leaving the stadium.

His presence, however, sparked controversy, with some fans booing him while others took the opportunity to pose for photos.

A Night of Frustration for Both Cardi B and the Chiefs

Trump wasn’t the only one making headlines at the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a crushing 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, ending their hopes of securing a historic three-peat.

Travis Kelce, who had a tough game, later admitted the loss was a “tough pill to swallow.” Meanwhile, Cardi B, though not on the field, felt like she had taken a hit of her own-one that cost her an expensive pair of designer heels.

Of course, LeBaron accepted and showed up with Cooper to deliver the incredible opening introduction for the team. As if LeBaron wasn’t an Eagles superfan already, his fame grew even more tonight.

LeBaron suffers from systemic juvenile arthritis, also known as Still’s disease, which makes a person’s immune system mistakenly attack joints instead of germs.

Travis Kelce subtly responds to critics after his pre-Super Bowl date with Taylor Swift: Don't peak too soon!

Travis Kelce may have offered a subtle response to those who criticized him for going to dinner with Taylor Swift ahead of the Super Bowl.

There was a swathe of interest in the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on Saturday after he had been spotted out for dinner in New Orleans with his pop star girlfriend, despite it being more common for players to stay in their hotel in the 38 hours before the Super Bowl.

Fans were quick to suggest that Kelce may not have his head in the right place and he could be enjoying the occasion a little too much.

In response, Kelce has now shared a video on Instragram of himself playing and celebrating throughout the season, with the caption reading: “Don’t peak too soon!”

    Fans not impressed

Many fans had been on Kelce’s back over the date at a French restaurant with Swift.

One commenter said Kelce looked “unfocused,” while another wrote, “Bad look. Kelce supposed to be locked in and watching film. I’m sure that could have waited.”

A third person added: “Normally the players do not go out the week before they are playing in the Super Bowl because of how seriously they take the game, or so I’m told. Even saw an old clip of that Kelce guy saying that.”

Last year ahead of the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Kelce talked about how important it was for him to stay focused and lay low in his hotel in the days leading up to the big game.

“We’ve got one week, we do what we need to do then we can party in Vegas for the rest of our lives,” Kelce said.

If the Chiefs win on Sunday then all will be forgotten, but fans have been given ammunition against Kelce and Swift if things go wrong.
