Stephen Curry's golf dream grows: 'Underrated' Tour returns with UK takeover

Stephen Curry isn’t just shaking up the NBA-he’s doing the same in golf. His ‘Underrated’ Golf Tour is making a return to Europe this year, kicking off at Foxhills Country Club & Resort in England from May 28to 30, 2025, before heading to Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland in August.

Launched in 2022, the tour is all about breaking down barriers in golf, a sport that has long struggled with accessibility and diversity. Curry’s goal? To give young, talented players from all backgrounds a stage to showcase their skills-and maybe even launch a professional career.

For Curry, this isn’t just a side project. He’s passionate about making golf more inclusive, and the success of the first European tour proved there’s real demand for opportunities like this.

“I’m thrilled to see the ‘Underrated’ Golf European Tour return for its second year and to partner with United Airlines as our presenting sponsor,” Curry said.“The goal of this tour is to offer incredible opportunities to emerging golfers, allowing them to compete and develop their skills in some of the most historic and beautiful locations in the world.”

United Airlines is once again on board, making sure players can travel to London, Edinburgh, and beyond as they chase their golfing dreams.

Rising stars and big stakes: The future of ‘Underrated’ golf takes shape

This year’s tour isn’t just bringing back top junior players-it’s also welcoming new ambassadors. Henni Koyack (Ladies European Tour pro), Will Lowery (Underrated Golf Tour ambassador), and former footballer Gareth Bale are all continuing their involvement, helping to grow the game and mentor young talent.

One of last year’s breakout stars, Brodi Lewis from Wales, will also return-this time as an ambassador. He made waves by winning the boys’ division title at the inaugural event, proving that the ‘Underrated’ platform can be a launching pad for young players.

The stakes are high for competitors. As in previous years, the boy and girl winners from both London and Scotland events will earn a spot in the prestigious Curry Cup in the U.S., giving them a chance to compete against some of the best young golfers in the world.

Curry’s tour continues to grow, and so does its impact. What started as a vision is quickly becoming a movement, making golf more accessible for the next generation. As the 2025 tour kicks off, all eyes will be on Foxhills to see which rising stars will take their first step toward something bigger.

  • Caitlin Clark's latest unpopular decision could have an explanation that Kobe Bryant would have supported

Caitlin Clark's latest unpopular decision could have an explanation that Kobe Bryant would have supported

Fans were eagerly anticipating a historic three-point shootout at the 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend, hoping to see WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark go head-to-head with Golden State Warriors legend Stephen Curry.

However, reports now confirm that Clark has declined an invitation to participate, leaving many wondering why the Iowa superstar turned WNBA rookie made the decision.

Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell’s emotional reunion has Indiana Fever fans buzzing

Clark, who broke records in her first professional season, finishing just six three-pointers short of the all-time WNBA record for most threes in a season, was widely expected to join this year’s revamped NBA All-Star 3-Point Contest.

The event was set to feature Curry, Sabrina Ionescu and Klay Thompson, creating a cross-league competition unlike anything seen before. But Clark‘s absence has left fans speculating on her reasons for opting out.

Why did Clark decline the invitation?

While many assumed Clark was simply prioritizing rest before the WNBA season, TV personality and former basketball player Rachel DeMita suggested a different reason for Clark‘s absence.

“From what we have seen in her workouts and all, Caitlin seems like the type of person if she’s going to do this contest she wants to win it,” DeMita explained during a segment.

She went on to describe Clark‘s competitive mindset, likening her approach to that of the late Kobe Bryant.

“She seems psychotic… she seems to have that Kobe mentality. When I say psychotic, guys, I mean that as a good thing. I think any great athlete is a little bit crazy. I think Caitlin is too, but in the best way-she has that Kobe mentality,” DeMita added.

According to Sports Business Journal’s Tom Friend, Clark reportedly told the NBA that she’s not interested in shooting off a ball rack, a crucial element of the contest’s format. Unlike the pull-up threes she often takes in-game, this competition requires stationary shooting from racks, something Clark isn’t accustomed to.

A source close to Clark noted that while she is deadly off the dribble, particularly when moving to her left, her lack of experience with rack shooting could have factored into her decision.

Rather than enter a competition where she isn’t fully prepared, Clark may have chosen to wait for an opportunity better suited to her strengths.

  • Stephen Curry's incredible animation reveals every three-pointer of his NBA career

Stephen Curry's incredible animation reveals every three-pointer of his NBA career

Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors star and widely regarded as the greatest shooter in basketball history, continues to amaze the world with his legacy. A recent animation has captured the attention of fans by showing every one of the 3,841 three-pointers Curry has made during hisNBA career. From his debut in 2009 to the present, the visualization traces from each launch point to the exact moment the ball goes through the hoop, making clear his precision and genius.

Curry has redefined modern basketball thanks to his ability to score from long distance. His impact began to be evident in the 2012-13 season, when he set a record of 272 three-pointers in a single season, a mark he broke in 2015 with 286 and in 2016 with an incredible total of 402. Curry was the first player to reach 3,500 career three-pointers. He is a four-time NBA champion (2015, 2017, 2017, 2018, 2022), two-time MVP (2015, 2016) and has participated in ten All-Star Games.

But his legacy is not only in titles. In 2024, Curry participated in the Olympic Games for the first time, representing the United States in Paris. In a historic performance, he led the team to the gold medal, an achievement that adds a golden chapter to his already impressive career.

The road to stardom was not easy. During his youth, Curry faced criticism for his physique, considered “weak” for the professional level, and struggled with comparisons to his father, Dell Curry, a renowned NBA player. However, with tireless hard work, he overcame expectations and established himself as a transcendent figure in professional basketball.

    Beyond the court

Curry doesn’t just shine in basketball; he’s also a role model off the court. With a record contract that secures him more than $200 million, he has used his influence to support social and humanitarian causes, such as his fight against malaria. He is also a role model for millions of fans, showing how perseverance and humility can lead to success.

Today, Stephen Curry is much more than a player; he is a living basketball legend. With more than 3,841 three-pointers made, his record will likely remain unbroken for decades. His gold medal at Paris 2024 reaffirms his place not only as one of the NBA’s best, but as a global icon of the sport.

  • LeBron, Curry, and Durant's team-up post sparks furious feud between NBA and soccer fans

LeBron, Curry, and Durant's team-up post sparks furious feud between NBA and soccer fans

The NBA put on quite the show on Christmas Day with several exciting finishes to keep fans interested on the holiday.

Fans were also treated to an ABC special titled “NBA OGs Convo” featuring the trio of LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

The special was created to celebrate the legacies of the three all-time greats, and while basketball fans were excited by what they saw, fans of other sports also weighed in.

After the NBA’s Instagram account posted a picture from the special, soccer fans let it be known they weren’t all that impressed.

“They can’t even crack 1M likes…They could never have the streets like footy,” wrote one fan.

“Basketball is just America. And they call it the world champion,” wrote another fan.

Another wrote: “I like both sports but I ain’t trying to watch an NBA game where both teams shoot 50 3’s each every game…I will gladly watch football over basketball,” added another.

NBA fans stick up for the league

It didn’t take long for basketball fans to hit back and defend their league.

“These guys are so insecure about American sports,” wrote one fan.

Another added: “NBA generates more money than soccer who cares about instagram likes.”

A third wrote: “Tbh Steph clears Messi and Ronny.”

Regardless of the argument in the comments section, the NBA saw strong viewership numbers for its Christmas Day schedule.

The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors averaged 7.76 million viewers, with the entire five-game slate averaging 5.25 million viewers.

“I wish there were more of our great players who had a chance to play on that stage on Christmas Day,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver said shortly before Christmas.

“It’s been an interesting turnaround from certainly my earlier days in the league when we got a lot of complaints about playing on Christmas – and now it comes the other way, which is, ‘Why aren’t we playing on Christmas?’”

  • LeBron James tries to “humiliate” Stephen Curry on his home court

LeBron James tries to “humiliate” Stephen Curry on his home court

The Chase Center was the scene of an exciting Christmas battle between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors, a showdown led by two NBA legends: LeBron James and Stephen Curry. But before the first ball hit the court, LeBron was already making waves.

Upon entering the warm-up, James didn’t miss the opportunity to play a joke on Curry. With a mischievous smile, he ran towards him while Steph practiced his shots, looking to “ruin” the moment with a fake block. Although it was just a friendly prank, the gesture made clear the respect and connection between these two basketball giants. The scene ended with an affectionate embrace, drawing laughter and applause from the crowd.

This encounter was not just another game for these friends who, just a few months ago, strengthened their bond as teammates on Team USA during the Paris Olympics. There, together, they brought home the gold medal, demonstrating their ability to work as a team. However, now on opposite sides of the court, the rivalry flared up again.

    LeBron tries to humiliate Steph

The instant LeBron James spotted Stephen Curry during the pre-game warm-up, he quickly ran over to him as Steph took a shot at the rim and attempted an epic block. Although it was just a joke during warm-ups, the moment culminated in an affectionate embrace between these two NBA legends. The excitement of seeing each other was evident, with both players sporting big smiles on their faces.

The intense on-court encounter between these teams also highlighted the professionalism and mutual respect between LeBron and Curry. Despite being rivals in the game, the friendship between these two stars was clear not only in this initial action, but throughout the game. Both proved to be true gentlemen of the sport, playing with passion and always looking for the win.

Lakers win at home of Warriors

The intense showdown between the Lakers and the Warriors was not only defined by the scoreboard, but also by an epic three-point duel between LeBron James and Stephen Curry. Both players were the top scorers for their respective teams, demonstrating why they are considered two of the NBA’s biggest stars.

Although the play that defined the Lakers’ victory did not directly involve LeBron and Steph, the duel between them was spectacular. James closed the game with 32 points in 37 minutes, while Curry led the Warriors with 38 points in 36 minutes.

The most exciting moment came on the penultimate play when Curry scored a stunning three-pointer to tie the score at 113 with just 6 seconds remaining. However, the Warriors’ hope was dashed on the last possession when Austin Reaves surprised with an unexpected but effective tip-in, securing the win for the Lakers.

  • Stephen Curry welcomes Dennis Schroder to the Warriors but is he the missing piece for their championship hopes?

Stephen Curry welcomes Dennis Schroder to the Warriors but is he the missing piece for their championship hopes?

The Emirates NBA Cup semifinals are underway, and the Christmas Day games are only 10 days away, a sign of how quickly the season is progressing. At this point, we can begin to identify which teams are contenders (Celtics, Thunder, Cavaliers), which teams have disappointed (Sixers, Pelicans), and which teams need to make trades to turn their season around and become contenders (Lakers, Warriors). The Warriors have already started making moves by acquiring Dennis Schroder.

Is Schroder the Best Player the Warriors Could Trade For ?

According to insider Shams Charania – though I’m not sure if I should believe him after the criticism Jimmy Butler’s agent posted on “X” – the Warriors are finalizing a deal to acquire Brooklyn Nets point guard Dennis Schroder for De’Anthony Melton. The Warriors will also receive a second-round pick from the Nets and send three second-round picks to Brooklyn as part of the deal, sources said. Schroder, a FIBA World Cup champion and 2023 World Cup MVP, was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 17th overall pick in the first round and will be playing for his eighth NBA team. Since his time with the Thunder from 2018-2020, he hasn’t managed to stay with one team for two full seasons.

The Warriors needed a player to complementStephen Curry, especially during his rest minutes, and Schroder seems like the right choice. However, the Warriors also need a pure scorer, as defense has been their strength this season, but outside of Curry, no other player on the team is averaging more than 18 points per game. In today’s offensive-heavy game, scoring is essential. While Schroder is averaging 18.4 points and a career-high 6.6 assists in 33.6 minutes per game this season, he’s not exactly known as a prolific scorer. Still, I think this move makes sense and comes at the right time for the Warriors.

Schroder’s first games with the Warriors before Christmas

It will be interesting to see how the Warriors adjust with Schroder and Curry sharing the court, or if Schroder was simply brought in to be traded for another player later. The Warriors have four games before they play the Lakers on Christmas Day, another team in desperate need of a trade, and all of those games are expected to be challenging.

First, they face the Mavericks tomorrow in what will be Klay Thompson’s second game against the Warriors. If you remember, Curry sealed the win in the first meeting with a dagger three-pointer that sent the Mavericks packing. The Warriors then visit Memphis for a tough matchup before heading to Minnesota to take on Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves. Their final game before Christmas is against the Pacers, a team known for its fast-paced style where high-scoring games are often the norm.

  • Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry earns respect for his honesty and humility, says teammate Moses Moody.

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry earns respect for his honesty and humility, says teammate Moses Moody.

Steph Curry continues to set the standard both on and off the court, and his Golden State Warriors teammate Moses Moody recently highlighted one of the qualities that makes Curry such an admired leader: his authenticity.

In a recent interview, Moody shared an anecdote that perfectly encapsulates Curry’s genuine personality. According to Moody, Curry’s leadership style is defined by his willingness to admit when he doesn’t have all the answers. “That’s the thing I like about Steph-he’s really real,” Moody remarked. “If he doesn’t know the answer to a question, he’ll just say, ‘Nah, I don’t know.’ Then, he’ll figure it out and come back with the answer.”

Stephen Curry surprises by revealing a hidden talent that blows everyone’s mind

For Moody, this level of transparency and humility from a player of Curry’s stature is both inspiring and refreshing. At a time when many leaders may feel pressure to always appear infallible, Curry’s openness fosters trust and respect among his teammates.

    Curry’s Leadership Beyond Basketball

Steph Curry’s influence isn’t confined to his three-point shooting or his accolades, which include four NBA championships and two MVP awards. It extends to how he cultivates a supportive and collaborative team environment. Moody’s comments underscore how Curry’s leadership goes beyond basketball strategies; it’s about creating a culture where players feel valued and heard.

This mindset is particularly impactful for younger players like Moody, who are still finding their place in the league. Curry’s willingness to admit his own learning process makes it easier for others to do the same, creating a space where growth and accountability are encouraged.

    A Model for Future Leaders

Curry’s approach to leadership serves as a model not just for athletes, but for anyone in a position of influence. His humility and dedication to improvement resonate deeply with those around him, making him a beloved figure both in the locker room and among fans.

As the Warriors look to continue their success this season, it’s clear that Curry’s leadership will remain a cornerstone of their team dynamic. Moody’s praise is just another testament to the legacy Curry is building-one defined as much by character as by championships.

  • Steph Curry can't hide his jealousy after seeing Klay Thompson with his new teammate

Steph Curry can't hide his jealousy after seeing Klay Thompson with his new teammate

After 13 seasons with the Golden State Warriors, Klay Thompson, who was selected with the 11th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, has decided to move on. Throughout his time with the Warriors, Thompson played in 793 regular-season games and 158 playoff games, winning four NBA championships. He also set several records, including the NBA regular-season record for most points scored in a quarter (37) and the record for most three-pointers made in a game (14). This summer, Thompson bid farewell to the Warriors to join the reigning Western Conference champions, the Dallas Mavericks, and their star player Luka Doncic. It’s highly likely that the Warriors will retire the number 11 in honor of Thompson’s contributions to the franchise.

Curry Not Happy with Klay’s New Teammates

The “Splash Brothers,”Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, are widely regarded as the best backcourt duo in NBA history. Together, they achieved numerous milestones, including sharing the record for most three-pointers made in a single postseason (98) and leading the Warriors to a 73-9 regular season, the best in NBA history. Over the years, their on-court success led to a strong friendship off the court. However, even the closest of friends can feel a twinge of jealousy. This was evident when Curry jokinglyexpressed his discomfort upon seeing Klay chatting with Dereck Lively, a player for the Mavericks, during a WNBA game between last year’s finalists, the Las Vegas Aces (22-13) and the New York Liberty (29-6). Curry, in a playful manner, interrupted the conversation, grimacing and saying, “Eww.” It’s clear that Curry will miss having Klay as a teammate.

With Klay now in Dallas, Curry is left with Draymond Green as the only other remaining member of the Warriors’ 2015 championship team. The Warriors have brought in Buddy Hield to try to fill the void left by Klay. It’s worth noting that Klay’s last game with the Warriors was not his best, as he produced zero points (0-10 FG, 0-6 3Pt) in a win-or-go-home game against the Sacramento Kings. Now with the Mavericks, who lost in the finals to the Boston Celtics, Klay will be a significant threat due to the attention that stars like Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving draw. He is expected to be the third offensive option, similar to his role when Kevin Durant was with the Warriors, which were some of his most productive years in terms of points and field goal percentage.

WNBA: Final Days of the Regular Season

The Liberty’s victory over the two-time defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, has solidified their status as the favorites for this year’s title. If the Liberty win their remaining games, they will tie the record of 34 victories set last season by the Aces. With 10 days left in the regular season, only one playoff spot remains up for grabs. The battle for this spot is between the Chicago Sky (13-22), Atlanta Dream (12-23), and Washington Mystics (11-24). However, whichever team secures the final playoff berth will face the daunting task of playing against the New York Liberty in the first round, where a sweep seems likely.

  • Sensational proposed trade that would send Stephen Curry with LeBron to the Lakers

Sensational proposed trade that would send Stephen Curry with LeBron to the Lakers

In recent weeks, there have been some signs that may have been disproportionately interpreted by NBA fans about Stephen Curry’s social media activity. They seem to have noticed that the Golden State Warriors removed his affiliation as a Warrior from his Instagram account. This sent shock waves through the entire NBA and made fans go wild with conspiracy theories. Even multiple media outlets following the story have dared to throw their own mock trades that would help them get Stephen Curry to the Lakers. However, the reality is that this sensational trade does seem impossible at the moment. But perhaps what Bleacher Report has to say might persuade all the teams involved to at least entertain the idea.

NBA stars turn into dark fantasy characters

The sensational trade that could send Curry to the Lakers

What likely made people go crazy after Stephen Curry’s social media activity is the unquestionable chemistry the two legends demonstrated during the Olympic Games in Paris last summer. While LeBron James was the MVP at the tournament, Stephen Curry was the clutch player in the last three games of the tournament. Every time they were together on the court, you could feel the electricity of the moment and how unpredictable the game could be. With that chemistry in mind, Bleacher Report decided to have a crack at a proposed trade between four teams that could end up with Curry in Los Angeles Lakers.

Eric Pincus from Bleacher Report proposes for the Lakers to receive Steph Curry, Ray’Ron Sharpe from the Nets, Wendell Moore Jr. from the Pistons, and a $3.9 million trade exception (Jalen Wood-Schifino). Warriors would get Austin Reaves, Ben Simmons, $2.4 million trade exception for Curry and two trade picks. Nets would get D’Angello Russell, Rui Hachimura, Gabe vincent, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and a $2 million trade exception for Dennis Schroder. Lastly, Pistons get Dennis Schroder, Christian Wood, and multiple trade picks. Seems a bit farfetched, what do you think?
