Stephen Curry surprises the country after Democratic National Convention appearance

The Democratic National Convention was held in Chicago, Illinois, and everyone was tunning in. Kamala Harris led the event in order to try and keep up to what Donald Trump is doing with his side of the United State Presidential election toward the voting in November.

Interesting enough, there was a very special virtual visit to the even, as the NBA star, Stephen Curry, appeared to show his support of Kamala in her run to try and get to the white House. The Golden State Warriors player was very excited to be part of this.

“It has been an honor for me to represent our country, it is an honor to support Kamala, let’s all do our part,” said Curry, with the gold medal won at the Paris Olympics hanging around his neck, in a one-minute video which was projected on the screens at the United Center in Chicago.

It was a very interesting event

Stephen Curry visited the White House last year as a guest after he won his last NBA title with the Warriors. Now he is looking to give Kamala a push to bring her back there. “I had the opportunity to visit Kamala with my team last year at the White House. I can say one thing, I knew then, and I definitely know now, the Oval Office suits her very well,” he said.

It is very clear that Curry has been a democratic his whole life and after this appearance he hopes it could boost Kamala’s chance to get to be the first woman president of the United State.

“Kamala as president can restore that unity and continue to move our country forward. This is about preserving hope and faith in our country. Ensuring that families can be cared for in the most difficult times,” he said.

  • Steph Curry's wife and mother HARRASED while carrying 3-month-old baby in Paris

Steph Curry's wife and mother HARRASED while carrying 3-month-old baby in Paris

Not everything at Paris 2024 was a celebration for Team USA, particularly for Stephen Curry, who faced a frightening moment in the streets of France.

His wife, Ayesha Curry, endured a terrifying ordeal in Paris when she was seen with their crying 3-month-old baby, surrounded by police officers. The apparent harassment escalated, leading to an intervention by the authorities, leaving the family shaken in what should have been a time of joy.

A shocking encounter in the heart of Paris

Amid the clash of cultures and a language barrier, what should have been a routine day in Paris turned into a dramatic ordeal for the Curry family. Unaware of local customs and unable to fully grasp what was happening, they attempted to enter a restricted street, only to be met with less-than-polite warnings to stay away.

Tensions quickly escalated as Ayesha Curry, holding her baby, was seen in tears, desperately trying to comfort the little one, who reportedly suffered a minor head injury in the chaos as authorities tried to move them along.

What was later revealed to be a simple misunderstanding spiraled into a scene that left the Currys visibly shaken. Ayesha and her mother-in-law, Sonya, found themselves in a heated confrontation with police who blocked their path to their car. The street had been cordoned off for a reason: French President Emmanuel Macron was about to pass through, leading to strict security measures that no one, including the Currys, was allowed to breach.

As of now, the exact resolution of this unsettling moment remains unknown, leaving fans and onlookers wondering how the situation finally came to an end.

  • Kevin Durant claps back at Keyshawn Johnson's critique over Warriors' success

Kevin Durant claps back at Keyshawn Johnson's critique over Warriors' success

Kevin Durant has recently been at the center of social media buzz, responding robustly to critiques about his career decisions. On Monday, former NFL player Keyshawn Johnson took a jab at Durant’s choice to join the Golden State Warriors in 2016. During his guest appearance on “Undisputed Live,” Johnson suggested that the Warriors’ success could have been replicated with another player, such as Paul Pierce.

Johnson‘s comment downplayed Durant‘s role in the Warriors’ achievements, implying the team could have thrived with Pierce instead. “If I put Paul Pierce on the Golden State Warriors with Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Steph Curry, you don’t think he could do the same?” Johnson questioned.

Durant, never one to shy away from defending his legacy, responded on social media. He countered Johnson‘s hypothetical with one of his own, suggesting the Jets could have benefited from different choices in the 1996 NFL Draft. Durant tweeted, “If the Jets would’ve taken Jonathan Ogden, Marvin Harrison, Ray Lewis, or Eddie George number 1, they would’ve been better off. I hate hypotheticals.”

Kevin Durant trolls Nike for excluding him from Olympic commercial

Durant‘s tenure with the Warriors was marked by significant success. From 2017 to 2019, he helped the team win back-to-back NBA championships and reach three consecutive Finals. His impressive averages of 25.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game highlight his vital contribution to the team’s dominance. Many believe the Warriors might have won a third straight title if Durant hadn’t ruptured his Achilles during the 2019 Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

Beyond social media spats, Durant has also drawn attention in the context of Team USA basketball. Despite missing all exhibition games, Durant played a prominent role in Team USA’s opening 110-84 win on Sunday, overshadowing Jayson Tatum, who did not play. Durant’s efficient performance, scoring 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting, caught the eye of analyst Kendrick Perkins. On “First Take,” Perkins highlighted Durant’s importance in past Team USA victories, noting, “The last time Team USA won the gold, Kevin Durant was the best player. And Jayson Tatum was the second-best player.”

Kevin Durant remains a formidable presence both on the court and in the digital arena, continually asserting his impact and legacy in the face of criticism.

LeBron James shows his support for Stephen Curry after confessing his sacrifice for the Paris Games: That's fire!

Team USA triumphed over Team Canada in their first exhibition game, clinching an 86-72 victory. The star-studded roster, including LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Stephen Curry, showcased their skills, overcoming a slow start to dominate the game.

The excitement peaked as fans witnessed the synergy between LeBron and Curry, hinting at an exhilarating journey ahead for Team USA as they prepare for the Olympics.

Team USA Basketball criticized for ignoring fans roasting; only one player went to meet them

A heartwarming moment occurred off the court when news broke about Curry’s daughter’s birthday. During a post-game interview, Curry apologized for missing the celebration.

    “That’s fire!” James noted.

    Mutual appreciation

Their partnership is a dream come true for NBA fans, who have eagerly anticipated seeing these two legends on the same team. Their mutual admiration extends beyond the court, with Curry often praising LeBron’s dedication and work ethic.

“Having Bron as a teammate is surreal,” Curry noted.

“You’ve had so many battles back and forth, you admire his game, you know what he’s about and to see the work up close and personal every day, to see how he prepares, how he talks in practice, I’ve never had that vantage point of him. Just excited to see how our games complement each other and build that chemistry that’s gonna help lead this team.”

The game against Canada marked Curry‘s debut with Team USA in Olympic preparations and he looked poised to lead the team to glory in Paris.

The Golden State Warriors’ point guard delivered an impressive performance, scoring 12 points and making 3 assists, including a memorable alley-oop to LeBron. LeBron’s enthusiasm for playing alongside Curry was palpable, as he has long awaited this opportunity.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry are already best friends as Olympics practices begin

The 2024 Summer Olympics are only a few weeks away from getting started in Paris. Stars in all kinds of different sports will be traveling to France to try to win medals for their home countries.

Although it’s been talked about a bit, an underrated storyline throughout the Olympics will be two of the best players in basketball history playing on the same team for the first time in their careers: LeBron James and Stephen Curry. On Friday, the two met up as the USA team starts getting ready for action.

Curry was talking to former Golden State Warriors teammate Kevin Durant when LeBron came up to Curry to dap him up. James opened the conversation up with “about time“, to which Curry responded “let’s have some fun with it“.

It’s surprising that they’ve never been on the same USA squad, but it was simply a matter of bad timing. Curry played at the 2010 FIBA World Championship and the 2014 FIBA World Cup, both of which James missed.

As for LeBron, he was part of the Olympic teams in 2004, 2008 and 2012. The two basketball icons will be joined by other current stars like Jayson Tatum, Joel Embiid, Devin Booker and more. They are the favorites to take home the gold.

  • Stephen Curry bids farewell to 'splash brother for life' Klay Thompson with multi-layered tribute

Stephen Curry bids farewell to 'splash brother for life' Klay Thompson with multi-layered tribute

It’s officially the end of at least one era in the NBA. On Monday, reports emerged that Klay Thompson intends to sign with the Dallas Mavericks, signaling the end of his 13-year tenure with the Golden State Warriors. With his departure, Stephen Curry will have a new backcourt running mate this upcoming season.

Curry didn’t post anything on his Instagram feed, at least not yet, but he littered his stories with pictures of him and Thompson. 30 different pictures of them throughout the years, to be exact.

Stephen Curry shocked to learn Klay Thompson steals title on final day of NBA season

Steph Curry’s emotional farewell message for Klay Thompson

At the end of the picture dump, Curry left a heartfelt written message for Klay.

What Curry says is completely factual: The two, along with Draymond Green, completely changed the trajectory of the Warriors and the NBA as a whole. And they did it as “splash brothers“, a moniker that will live on for centuries.

Curry and Thompson won four NBA titles, made five All-Star teams together and reshaped the way NBA teams operated offensively, putting way more emphasis on three-point shooting. Now, they’ll face each other on different teams in the Western Conference.

  • Draymond Green's grim prediction for Jayson Tatum: He'll have to face his biggest fear

Draymond Green's grim prediction for Jayson Tatum: He'll have to face his biggest fear

Jayson Tatum is living a fairy tale. After winning the long-awaited NBA title by beating the Dallas Mavericks in the final series, the Boston Celtics forward is experiencing one of the best moments of his career. However, dark times are coming for Tatum, veteran Draymond Green warned.

There is no doubt that Tatum is still enjoying the celebration. Not only for having won the championship, but for having been able to celebrate with his son Deuce on the TD Garden court. The screams of the crowd, the flying confetti, and the flashes of cameras can be an intoxicating feeling for anyone.

However, all the festivities and paraphernalia come at a high cost, Green warned. The Golden State Warriors veteran knows what he’s talking about. With four championship rings in his jewelry box, Green has experienced first-hand the dark side of fame and that is why he wanted to warn the new champion.

    Green’s gloomy prediction

In the most recent broadcast of his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show,” the Warriors power forward warned, “That high, that cloud that he’s rolling through on in life, in a few weeks he’ll go through this space of almost a depression.”

He explained that achieving a championship is the goal of every athlete and NBA players are no exception. The problem begins when the parades and fanfare fade with the passage of time and the new champion realizes that he needs to start the long process of winning the title again, with no guarantee that he can achieve it.

In this regard, Green predicted that Tatum will very soon fall into that state and begin to think, “That feeling felt so good. My biggest fear is now to never feel that feeling again.”

Unlike Green, Tatum will still be able to enjoy the happiness of the championship for several more weeks. The Celtics forward is part of the American team that will compete in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, starting on July 28.

    Tatum at the Olympic Games

Like every four years, the United States team, made up of NBA stars, is the big favorite to win Olympic gold. This year, Tatum will lead the team along with LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

The United States has won seven of the last eight Olympic championships, including the most recent four. It seems difficult, if not impossible, for anyone to take Olympic glory from Team USA this year in Paris.

Thus, Tatum will be able to prolong his current state of euphoria for a few more weeks. However, the “dark void” that Green predicted will still come and the Celtics star will have to be prepared to face it.

  • Golden State Warriors fans cling to small hope that Jimmy Butler is joining their team

Golden State Warriors fans cling to small hope that Jimmy Butler is joining their team

The Miami Heat are in a precarious position heading into this upcoming offseason. After reaching the Eastern Conference Finals three times and the NBA Finals twice in the previous four seasons, the Heat lost convincingly to the Boston Celtics in the first round this year.

The worst part was that they couldn’t rely on their best player, Jimmy Butler. That’s something that has become a bit of a theme for the Heat given that Butler has missed over 15 games in each of his five seasons with the team.

Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler criticizes media for talking about Boston Celtics

Could Jimmy Butler leave Miami Heat to join Steph Curry?

With Butler’s future murky, Golden State Warriors fans have decided to use a recent Instagram story of the player as a sign he’s joining Stephen Curry in the Bay Area.

Obviously, it’s not overly serious and not a real report of anything going on between Butler and the Warriors. Butler was traveling to San Jose to take part in a promotional event for the apparel company Alo in Palo Alto.

Whether he met with any members of the Warriors, we will never know. But Butler certainly could be on the way out of Miami this summer.

The 34-year-old has a player option after the 2024-25 season, and the team could opt to get a trade haul for him before it comes to that.

  • Klay Thompson's scoreless outing marks potential end as Kings dethrone Warriors

Klay Thompson's scoreless outing marks potential end as Kings dethrone Warriors

In a decisive 118-94 victory, the Sacramento Kings ousted the Golden State Warriors from the play-in tournament, avenging their previous NBA playoffs defeat. This win propels the Kings towards a showdown with the New Orleans Pelicans, setting the stage for a potential clash with the top-seeded Oklahoma City in the first round.

The spotlight, however, uncomfortably shone on Klay Thompson, whose future with the Warriors hangs in the balance. Marking what might have been his final appearance in a Warriors jersey, Thompson ended the game without scoring, missing all ten of his attempts from the field. This performance starkly contrasted his recent scoring average of 23.1 points this month, highlighting an unexpected downturn at a crucial moment.

Thompson, a usual scoring powerhouse for the Warriors, found himself effectively neutralized by the Kings‘ defense, which targeted him relentlessly. This strategy paid dividends, contributing significantly to the Kings’ dominant performance.

Could this be the end of an era for the Golden State Warriors?

Golden State’s journey to the game had been strong, having won 10 of their last 12 regular-season games. In contrast, Sacramento had struggled, winning only two of their final seven games. Nevertheless, the Kings started strong and maintained their lead throughout, with all five starters scoring in double figures. Keegan Murray and De’Aaron Fox led the charge, combining for 56 points, while Domantas Sabonis contributed a well-rounded performance with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists.

As the Warriors face an uncertain future, particularly with the potential departures of their core trio-Curry, Green, and Thompson-their performance on Wednesday night was a far cry from the championship-caliber team fans have admired over the years. This game not only underscored the Kings’ revenge but also signaled a potential end of an era for Golden State, with Thompson’s scoreless exit symbolizing a poignant if not bitter, possible farewell.

  • Stephen Curry invents “solar eclipse” trick shot that amazes Warriors teammates

Stephen Curry invents “solar eclipse” trick shot that amazes Warriors teammates

Stephen Curry has defined a generation of NBA basketball with his outrageous shotmaking that enraptured many fans of the sport. Curry has been the driving force behind the Golden State Warriors‘ four NBA championships since 2015 — and even at 36 years old, the point guard continues to find new ways to impress audiences.

Monday marked the first total solar eclipse in the United States since 2017, and Curry marked the unusual event in a way that only he can: with a circus shot that captured the imagination of fans and teammates alike.

Stephen Curry invents “solar eclipse” trick shot that amazes Warriors teammates

    Curry “beats” the solar eclipse

Curry on Monday posted a short clip on Instagram with the caption “Throw it to the eclipse!” The clip itself comes from a shootaround prior to the Warriors‘ 108-106 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, wherein Curry drains a high-arcing scoop shot, drawing an unforgettable reaction from longtime teammate Kevon Looney.

The short video is especially appropriate to publish on Monday, as millions of Americans have been able to see a rare total solar eclipse as it traverses the contiguous United States. The eclipse’s path of totality began along Mexico‘s Pacific Coast, through 13 states, and it will cross into Canada by Monday night.

While a total solar eclipse is a rarity, Curry drilling crazy shots and scoring buckets of points has long been a nightly occurrence in the NBA. The two-time MVP has played in 71 games this season and is averaging 26.5 points per game while shooting better than 40 percent from 3-point range. His Warriors have clinched no worse than 10th place in the Western Conference, giving them a shot to play postseason basketball if they can make out of the Play-In Tournament.
