Recently, Sharma was asked about the superstitions he follows before matches. He revealed that his sister, Komal Sharma, is his biggest lucky charm both for him personally and for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Abhishek noted that Komal had become a lucky charm for Hyderabad, with teammates even inquiring about her attendance at matches. He also playfully mentioned Komal’s main concern when attending games: choosing the perfect outfit.

“Whenever Komal came for the matches, picking an outfit was her biggest concern. I used to tell her to wear something related to the team. The way she supported us this time, the whole team saw it and she became our lucky charm. People in Hyderabad started recognizing her and she enjoyed a lot. This was the first time that she had come to the matches, and the team reached the final. So, I think the luck factor was there. The teammates would ask me if she was coming or not for the matches.”

Abhishek Sharma turned heads with his explosive performances in IPL 2024. He emerged as SRH’s second-highest run-scorer of the season, accumulating 484 runs from 16 games at an impressive strike rate of 204.
