    The mother of the assaulted athlete believes it was no accident

    Tamarrow, the athlete’s mother, complained that “there were no apologies. No coaches. No athletes. Nothing. Even if it was an accident, which I don’t think it was… nothing.”

    ABC reports that the aggressor’s parents and her school apologized to the victim and her family.

    NFL analyst Todd McShay believes that Shedeur’s father, Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, could be to blame for how Shedeur is being viewed by those with power in the NFL world.

    Speaking on The Ryen Russillo Pocast, McShay said: “98-99% of the people who come in this room, the players, they’re like, ‘Yes sir,’ like intense. This is the biggest job interview of their lives. When one guy comes in, and it’s really different than all the other ones, nothing about it was contentious. Nothing about it was disrespectful.

    “It was just there was a different level of professionalism. Don’t get the sense that he cared an awful lot about what we thought. And to be quite honest with you, I don’t think anyone’s surprised. This is the narrative we’ve been talking about since, like, September. Remember, Coach Prime has been out there since, like early season,” he added.

    Speaking in January on the Tamron Hall Show, Deion spoke firmly on the situation surrounding Shedeur and his development.

    “This is my profession. I know what’s behind the curtain. We ain’t got to get back there for me to understand what’s behind the curtain and what’s not prominent for my son. I’m not doing it,” Coach Prime said on the show.

    “The number getting picked don’t matter. I wasn’t the top rated quarterback back coming out of high school because it’s a lot of exterior things that people like and they don’t like about me, and I’m realistic you know, and I’m realistic about my family and everything.”

    At the moment, the Colorado QB is focused on proving himself on the field, no matter what people say as critics claim his hobbies away from the gridiron could mean he has the potential to be a busted pick.

    But either way, he has the support of his family and his older brother, Deion Sanders Jr., wasted no time dropping his comment regarding his diamond-laden look by describing it as simply, “Legendary.”

    Sanders mentored by Brady

    Although he has the numbers to back up his supreme talent, Shedeur is always striving for ways to improve his game and he’s found one key mentor supporting him in the form of none other than the seven-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady.

    The bond started when the ex-New England Patriot invited him to Tampa for a workout and from there, he’s used the chance to continue understanding the game at the highest level, and he’s thankful for it.

    “Tom Brady, he’s an all-time great,” Sanders told reporters. “Being able to have that resource, being able to have that person I’m able to talk to and call whenever I’m having questions about the game. … it’s truly amazing.

    “He was like, ‘Come work out with me in Tampa,’ so he flew down there. Dad [Deion Sanders] came, and we rode with him, he took me in this truck to this field to his high school field.

    “Then from then on he was just telling me the knowledge and I filmed everything I recorded everything so now uh even sometimes I go back and just listen to the things that he said at that time.”

    He has been around cameras his whole life. He has been in the spotlight his whole life. He is just different and does seem to be ready for all this… [He] sounded like a 30-year-old. That’s the kind of conversation interaction you rarely have. And to me, one reason why he seems ready for this.

    Rapoport mentions Shedeur walking him through his whole thought process, while explaining to the reporter “his goals, his plans for the combine, why he’s not gonna throw, what he’s gonna do at Pro Day“. Rapoport came away impressed by how Sanders handled the conversation and how in control of his plans he was.

    Sanders may not be the most physically talented, and his personality may rub some people the wrong way, but there’s no denying his clear intentions of trying to make it to the very top of the sport.

    Every now and then, an NFL Draft prospect comes around that sparks significant excitement because he is something that fans have not seen before. In 2025, that prospect is Travis Hunter, the Heisman Trophy-winning cornerback/wide receiver from the University of Colorado…but the jury is out on whether Hunter is the consensus #1 pick.

    One reason is because Hunter’s best position in the pros has not yet been defined. He signed up to take part in drills as a cornerback during this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, but opinion remains divided on whether he will make a stronger corner or a receiver in the NFL. That uncertainty, in spite of Hunter’s off-the-charts talent, could see him drop in April’s draft…into the waiting arms of a former dynasty in the AFC.

    Hunter could end up in New England

    Though he is probably the best player available given his two-way skillset, Hunter may not be the very first player taken in Green Bay. The Tennessee Titans might be enamored enough with Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter to select him #1 overall, though Carter may need surgery to address a stress reaction in his right foot.

    If Carter goes first, followed by quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders in some order, the New England Patriots could pass on offensive line help in order to draft Hunter at fourth overall — giving second-year quarterback Drake Maye a new weapon in the passing game.

    “There are a number of different evaluators here who feel as though there is a very real chance that Travis Hunter makes it all the way to the Patriots at pick No. 4, their thinking being there is a real chance that the NFL likes Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders enough – the Browns and the Giants specifically would like those two quarterbacks enough – to take them inside the top three,” Patriots insider Phil Perry said on the “Next Pats” podcast.

    According to Perry, the Patriots view Hunter as a game-breaking #1 receiver. Hunter has elicited comparisons to the Philadelphia Eagles‘ Super Bowl-winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith for his ball skills and tracking ability — not to mention the fact that both players are Heisman winners.

    “The love for (Hunter) at the wide receiver position when you talk to offensive coaches is off the charts,” Perry said. “From the people I’ve spoken to – which would include one AFC receivers coach – he’s the best receiver in this year’s draft and he has legit ‘No. 1 receiver in the NFL’ kind of upside,” Perry said.

    New England has been linked closely with LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell throughout the pre-draft process, but the Pats‘ thinking might be changing in the weeks leading up to the draft. Don’t be surprised if Travis Hunter is catching passes from Drake Maye in 2025 and beyond as New England tries to return to Super Bowl contention under new head coach Mike Vrabel.

    Deion fears a draft night surprise

    Shedeur’s father Deion, who was also the quarterback’s head coach at Colorado, is keenly aware of the recent discourse that has followed the 23-year-old on social media. Amid Shedeur’s announcement that he would not throw at the NFL Scouting Combine this week, Deion has taken aim at “hot take culture” that threatens to cost Shedeur millions of dollars if he slides on draft night in April.

    “Everyone wants attention & everyone has an opinion,” Deion posted on X/Twitter. “When did they come to the conclusion that their opinion mattered? Their opinion ain’t based on knowledge of subject or experience, it derives from their shortcomings.”

    Shedeur, who broke school passing records at Colorado in 2024 and attempted more than 900 passes in two seasons there, has been strongly linked with the Cleveland Browns at #2 overall, as well as the New York Giants, who will pick third.
