Deion Sanders Jr. highlights a brilliant detail about Shedeur Sanders that NFL teams might not like

Shedeur Sanders showed up at the NFL Combine, ready to talk football but something else grabbed attention, his jewellery, as the 22-year-old made sure his style was on point although it doesn’t dissuade his critics.

The Colorado Buffaloes star appeared rocking pieces from Tajia Diamonds and certainly caught the eyes as the jeweller’s Instagram post showcased his tastes, although he sent a clear message fashion isn’t above football.

“I’m focused on football,” Shedeur said at the media conference. “”I ain’t thinking about creative director. We got legendary, that’s the creative direction.

“The number getting picked don’t matter. I wasn’t the top rated quarterback back coming out of high school because it’s a lot of exterior things that people like and they don’t like about me, and I’m realistic you know, and I’m realistic about my family and everything.”

At the moment, the Colorado QB is focused on proving himself on the field, no matter what people say as critics claim his hobbies away from the gridiron could mean he has the potential to be a busted pick.

But either way, he has the support of his family and his older brother, Deion Sanders Jr., wasted no time dropping his comment regarding his diamond-laden look by describing it as simply, “Legendary.”

    Sanders mentored by Brady

Although he has the numbers to back up his supreme talent, Shedeur is always striving for ways to improve his game and he’s found one key mentor supporting him in the form of none other than the seven-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady.

The bond started when the ex-New England Patriot invited him to Tampa for a workout and from there, he’s used the chance to continue understanding the game at the highest level, and he’s thankful for it.

Tom Brady, he’s an all-time great,” Sanders told reporters. “Being able to have that resource, being able to have that person I’m able to talk to and call whenever I’m having questions about the game. … it’s truly amazing.

“He was like, ‘Come work out with me in Tampa,’ so he flew down there. Dad [Deion Sanders] came, and we rode with him, he took me in this truck to this field to his high school field.

“Then from then on he was just telling me the knowledge and I filmed everything I recorded everything so now uh even sometimes I go back and just listen to the things that he said at that time.”

Urban Meyer praises Cam Skattebo ahead of NFL Combine

As the NFL Scouting Combine draws near, Cam Skattebo is gaining significant attention, especially after opting out of most drills, including the 40-yard dash.

While this may have raised eyebrows, the Arizona State running back has earned praise from some of football’s biggest names, including former head coach Urban Meyer.

Nobody can stop him! NFL prospect Cameron Skattebo ran over an entire defense

Urban Meyer’s strong endorsement of Skattebo

Urban Meyer recently appeared on the Triple Option Podcast, where he gave a glowing review of Skattebo. “Cam Skattebo is one of my favorite players I’ve ever watched,” Meyer said. “He is an animal… he is a guy, if I’m coaching, that I would want on my team.” Meyer’s endorsement is a significant one, considering his experience coaching top talent during his illustrious career.

Additionally, former NFL running back Mark Ingram has also expressed high regard for Skattebo, reinforcing the positive buzz surrounding the Arizona State star. These endorsements have only helped to increase Skattebo’s draft stock as the 2023 NFL Draft approaches.

    Skattebo’s impressive college career

Skattebo’s rise to the NFL has been built on a standout collegiate career. He began his journey at Sacramento State, where he racked up 1,372 rushing yards and seven touchdowns during the 2022 season, earning first-team All-Big Sky honors and the title of Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year. His transfer to Arizona State only solidified his reputation, as he posted an impressive 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns during the 2024 season.

A standout performance during the Peach Bowl, where he earned Offensive MVP honors despite his team’s loss, only added to his growing reputation.

    What’s next for Skattebo?

As the NFL Combine approaches, Skattebo’s performance will be closely scrutinized. While he has opted out of most drills, he will participate in the vertical and broad jump. He is expected to fully showcase his abilities at Arizona State’s Pro Day, which will give him another chance to impress scouts and coaches alike. Skattebo may also opt to compete at the Big 12 Pro Day from March 18-21, further solidifying his place in the 2023 NFL Draft.

With his impressive college stats, endorsements from big names like Meyer and Ingram, and a strong showing at future workouts, Cam Skattebo is positioning himself as one of the most intriguing running back prospects in this year’s draft.

  • Shedeur Sanders possesses something unique that no other NFL Draft prospect has

Shedeur Sanders possesses something unique that no other NFL Draft prospect has

The pre-draft process hasn’t fully gone the way Shedeur Sanders may have been hoping for. Competing with Cam Ward to be the first quarterback taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, Sanders has seen some criticism rise as his college tape and his character traits are analyzed more closely than ever. While Ward becomes the clear favorite to be the top QB picked, there have even been reports that some teams have Jaxson Dart ahead of Sanders on their boards.

While speaking to the media at the combine, Sanders’ strong personality was a bit polarizing. There’s a section of fans and analysts that think his overbearing confidence is what has made him so successful, and what will make him a great NFL quarterback. The other side believes his arrogance will be the death of him. But Sanders has dealt with something that makes him unique and sets him apart from his draft class peers.

Could be legendary! Shedeur Sanders passing techniques have similarities to C.J. Stroud skills

Shedeur Sanders has dealt with cameras and media spotlight since he was a child

Reporting from the combine, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport tells a story of Sanders speaking directly to him when Rapoport was trying to inquire about whether Sanders would throw at the combine. Initially speaking with Deion Sanders, Coach Prime passed the phone to Shedeur so they could chat.

He has been around cameras his whole life. He has been in the spotlight his whole life. He is just different and does seem to be ready for all this… [He] sounded like a 30-year-old. That’s the kind of conversation interaction you rarely have. And to me, one reason why he seems ready for this.

Rapoport mentions Shedeur walking him through his whole thought process, while explaining to the reporter “his goals, his plans for the combine, why he’s not gonna throw, what he’s gonna do at Pro Day“. Rapoport came away impressed by how Sanders handled the conversation and how in control of his plans he was.

Sanders may not be the most physically talented, and his personality may rub some people the wrong way, but there’s no denying his clear intentions of trying to make it to the very top of the sport.

  • Nick Emmanwori stuns everyone with 43-inch vertical jump: Is it the best in NFL Combine history?

Nick Emmanwori stuns everyone with 43-inch vertical jump: Is it the best in NFL Combine history?

Nick Emmanwori, the South Carolina safety, made waves at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, impressing scouts and analysts alike with his incredible 43-inch vertical jump.

While his performance caught everyone’s attention, many are wondering whether it ranks as the best vertical jump in NFL Combine history. Let’s take a look at how his jump compares to the all-time leaders in this event.

Must see this! Landon Jackson with a spectacular vertical jump during NFL Combine

The evolution of the NFL Combine vertical jump

The NFL Combine vertical jump has been a key measure of athleticism for decades. Since its inception in the 1980s, the event has allowed scouts to evaluate a player’s lower-body strength and explosiveness-traits essential for success in the NFL.

Athletes have used their vertical jump performances to enhance their draft prospects, with some remarkable feats standing out in Combine history.

Top performances in NFL Combine history

Over the years, numerous athletes have made their mark with jaw-dropping vertical jumps. The top jump in Combine history belongs to Gerald Sensabaugh, a free safety from North Carolina, who set the bar with a 46-inch leap at the 2005 Combine.

Other elite athletes such as Derek Wake (45 1/2 inches) and Chris Conley (45 inches) also etched their names into Combine lore. While Emmanwori’s 43-inch jump is outstanding, it doesn’t surpass these legendary performances, landing just outside the top 10.

    Nick Emmanwori’s jaw-dropping 43-inch jump

Despite not reaching the pinnacle of all-time vertical jumps, Emmanwori’s performance was remarkable in its own right. Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 220 pounds, his 43-inch leap was the best recorded by any player over 200 pounds, according to Next Gen Stats.

Emmanwori’s combination of size, strength, and explosiveness has left scouts buzzing, and his performance undoubtedly boosted his draft stock.

    Emmanwori’s overall combine performance

In addition to his eye-popping vertical jump, Emmanwori posted a blistering 4.38-second 40-yard dash, further highlighting his speed and athleticism. But his achievements didn’t stop there-Emmanwori earned a perfect 10.00 Real Athletic Score (RAS), an unofficial metric that measures a player’s overall athleticism.

His RAS score was the best among all safeties at the Combine and marked the highest RAS for a strong safety in Combine history, dating back to 1987.

    Emmanwori’s future in the NFL

While Emmanwori’s 43-inch vertical jump may not go down as the best in Combine history, it has certainly put him on the radar of NFL teams. His exceptional athleticism, combined with a successful college career at South Carolina, has made him one of the most highly anticipated players in the 2025 NFL Draft. With such impressive physical attributes and a standout college career, Emmanwori is expected to be a first-round pick in the upcoming draft.

In the world of NFL scouting, it’s clear that Nick Emmanwori has shown that he’s a force to be reckoned with.

  • Travis Hunter and the chance he lands with an NFL 'sleeping giant' on draft night

Travis Hunter and the chance he lands with an NFL 'sleeping giant' on draft night

Every now and then, an NFL Draft prospect comes around that sparks significant excitement because he is something that fans have not seen before. In 2025, that prospect is Travis Hunter, the Heisman Trophy-winning cornerback/wide receiver from the University of Colorado…but the jury is out on whether Hunter is the consensus #1 pick.

One reason is because Hunter’s best position in the pros has not yet been defined. He signed up to take part in drills as a cornerback during this week’s NFL Scouting Combine, but opinion remains divided on whether he will make a stronger corner or a receiver in the NFL. That uncertainty, in spite of Hunter’s off-the-charts talent, could see him drop in April’s draft…into the waiting arms of a former dynasty in the AFC.

Hunter could end up in New England

Though he is probably the best player available given his two-way skillset, Hunter may not be the very first player taken in Green Bay. The Tennessee Titans might be enamored enough with Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter to select him #1 overall, though Carter may need surgery to address a stress reaction in his right foot.

If Carter goes first, followed by quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders in some order, the New England Patriots could pass on offensive line help in order to draft Hunter at fourth overall — giving second-year quarterback Drake Maye a new weapon in the passing game.

“There are a number of different evaluators here who feel as though there is a very real chance that Travis Hunter makes it all the way to the Patriots at pick No. 4, their thinking being there is a real chance that the NFL likes Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders enough – the Browns and the Giants specifically would like those two quarterbacks enough – to take them inside the top three,” Patriots insider Phil Perry said on the “Next Pats” podcast.

According to Perry, the Patriots view Hunter as a game-breaking #1 receiver. Hunter has elicited comparisons to the Philadelphia EaglesSuper Bowl-winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith for his ball skills and tracking ability — not to mention the fact that both players are Heisman winners.

“The love for (Hunter) at the wide receiver position when you talk to offensive coaches is off the charts,” Perry said. “From the people I’ve spoken to – which would include one AFC receivers coach – he’s the best receiver in this year’s draft and he has legit ‘No. 1 receiver in the NFL’ kind of upside,” Perry said.

New England has been linked closely with LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell throughout the pre-draft process, but the Pats‘ thinking might be changing in the weeks leading up to the draft. Don’t be surprised if Travis Hunter is catching passes from Drake Maye in 2025 and beyond as New England tries to return to Super Bowl contention under new head coach Mike Vrabel.

  • Carson Beck and Hanna Cavinder's shocking reaction to luxury car theft caught on bodycam

Carson Beck and Hanna Cavinder's shocking reaction to luxury car theft caught on bodycam

Newly released footage has given the public a firsthand look at the tense moments after Miami quarterback Carson Beck and his girlfriend, basketball star Hanna Cavinder, discovered their luxury cars had vanished from their South Florida home.

The bodycam video, obtained by TMZ, captures the couple standing outside their residence in visible frustration as they recount the chaotic morning to law enforcement. In the footage, Beck, 22, details the alarming scene: an open garage, unlocked gates, and three high-end vehicles missing.

Hanna Cavinder channels Olivia Dunne’s style in TikTok visits to Carson Beck

Cavinder, 24, looks on as Beck explains how they woke up expecting a normal day, only to find their property had been infiltrated overnight. “Well, s–t, we woke up this morning and we were about to leave and then, we had three cars parked, garage door was wide open, both the gates wide open,” Beck tells the officers in the video.

The footage shows Cavinder pointing to the driveway, indicating where her Range Rover had been left before being mysteriously relocated to the street. Meanwhile, Beck’s Lamborghini and Mercedes were nowhere to be found.

As officers question how the intruders gained access, Beck admits that while their home was locked, the only logical entry point was through the garage. His frustration grows as he acknowledges they had no security cameras in place-a result of just having moved into the residence.

    The culprit has been identified

The video captures the immediate aftermath of the crime, but hours later, authorities recovered one of the stolen vehicles in South Miami. A suspect, identified as 20-year-old Tykwon Deandre Anderson, was later arrested and now faces multiple charges, including grand theft and burglary.

For Beck, who transferred to Miami after a five-year stint at Georgia, and Cavinder, who recently rejoined Miami’s basketball team after a hiatus, the unsettling experience raises questions about security for high-profile athletes. The couple, known for their success on the field and court, as well as their massive social media presence, now find themselves at the center of a growing conversation about personal safety in the spotlight.

  • Deion Sanders crushes 'hot take culture' as Shedeur faces potential draft night drop

Deion Sanders crushes 'hot take culture' as Shedeur faces potential draft night drop

There are some years in which it is very clear which player is the top overall prospect, and you can already plan for how this player will look in his new home. Take Caleb Williams, for example; the former USC quarterback, a Heisman Trophy winner, was the consensus top prospect available in 2024, and he was the obvious first overall choice for a Chicago Bears team that needed a new signal-caller.

But in 2025, the #1 overall pick is not so clear-cut. Between Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter, Cam Ward, and Shedeur Sanders, experts and executives alike have wildly-different takes on the precise order in which this year’s top players will be drafted — and one of them, maybe Shedeur, faces a draft night that falls below their expectations.

Deion fears a draft night surprise

Shedeur’s father Deion, who was also the quarterback’s head coach at Colorado, is keenly aware of the recent discourse that has followed the 23-year-old on social media. Amid Shedeur’s announcement that he would not throw at the NFL Scouting Combine this week, Deion has taken aim at “hot take culture” that threatens to cost Shedeur millions of dollars if he slides on draft night in April.

“Everyone wants attention & everyone has an opinion,” Deion posted on X/Twitter. “When did they come to the conclusion that their opinion mattered? Their opinion ain’t based on knowledge of subject or experience, it derives from their shortcomings.”

Shedeur, who broke school passing records at Colorado in 2024 and attempted more than 900 passes in two seasons there, has been strongly linked with the Cleveland Browns at #2 overall, as well as the New York Giants, who will pick third. But executives have been “turned off” by Shedeur’s unwillingness to participate in Combine drills, which has furthered an unfair perception that Shedeur only wants the NFL “lifestyle” and isn’t hungry to succeed in the pros.

Coach Prime is directly disputing this characterization of his son and is trying to get out in front of the hate. He told another X/Twitter user that he was praying for them after this individual shamed Deion for his alleged role in convincing Shedeur to skip the Combine — though the player did meet with Browns leadership on Wednesday, with two months to go until the 2025 draft.

  • Shedeur Sanders to the Jets? NFL expert makes his bold draft prediction

Shedeur Sanders to the Jets? NFL expert makes his bold draft prediction

In his latest mock draft released on Tuesday, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has stirred anticipation and excitement among NFL fans by projecting Shedeur Sanders, the star quarterback from Colorado, to be selected by the New York Jets with the No. 7 overall pick. This prediction has come as a surprise to many, as Sanders was initially expected to be a top-three pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Kiper’s decision to place Sanders with the Jets hinges on the expectation that the Las Vegas Raiders, another team in desperate need of a quarterback, will opt to choose elsewhere with the sixth pick. By making this choice, the Raiders could potentially allow the Jets to secure Sanders without having to trade up in the draft, which would be a significant strategic win for the Jets organization.

More than ready! Shedeur Sanders can start for an NFL team next week says Draft analyst

“Shedeur in New York with the Jets, to me, is perfect,” Kiper said on ESPN’s NFL Live. “He’s used to the bright lights. He’s going to come in there, he’s not going to be intimidated by it. He had to deal with all the expectations at Colorado, his father, Deion. He’s been around this pressure-packed environment basically his whole life.”

    The reason behind the take

Shedeur Sanders, known for his exceptional accuracy and field vision, completed 74.0% of his passes for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns during the 2024 season. His impressive performance has made him one of the most highly touted prospects in this year’s draft class.

Adding Sanders to the Jets’ roster could provide a much-needed boost to their offense, which struggled in passing metrics last season. The potential combination of Sanders, wide receiver Garrett Wilson, and running back Breece Hall could form a formidable trio for the Jets’ offense.

Kiper’s analysis underscores the potential impact Sanders could have on the Jets, highlighting that his rookie contract would allow the team to build around him while managing their salary cap effectively. With the Jets looking to move on from veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Sanders could be the key to unlocking their future success and returning the franchise to playoff contention.

  • Ashton Jeanty's bold NFL combine decision leaves Cowboys in a tough spot

Ashton Jeanty's bold NFL combine decision leaves Cowboys in a tough spot

The Dallas Cowboys’ backfield situation is anything but settled, and with free agency looming, all eyes are on how the team will address its running game. While speculation has linked them to one of the most exciting prospects in college football, a surprising decision from the potential target has shifted the conversation.

It’s no secret that the Cowboys have been scouting their options at running back. The position became a glaring concern last season, with an inconsistent committee approach that left plenty to be desired. While Rico Dowdle managed to top 1,000 yards, the team lacked a dominant playmaker in key moments. Now, as they evaluate their future at the position, one name has stood out in early draft projections.

Roots for “Coach Prime”! Heisman Trophy runner up Ashton Jeanty thinks Sanders’ a great fit for Cowboys

For months, Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty has been tied to Dallas as a potential first-round selection. A dynamic rusher with an impressive college rsum, Jeanty has been pegged as a possible long-term solution for the Cowboys’ ground game. And with his Texas roots, the fit seemed almost too perfect. However, just as scouts prepared for their first in-depth evaluation of him, Jeanty has thrown a wrench into the process.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero reports that Jeanty has opted out of on-field workouts at this week’s NFL Combine, choosing instead to wait for Boise State’s Pro Day. While he will still go through medical evaluations and team interviews, the decision means teams-including the Cowboys-will have to wait longer to see him perform under official testing conditions.

    Jeanty put up Heisman-worthy numbers

The move comes as a surprise, but it’s not necessarily a negative one. Jeanty’s production speaks for itself, with a staggering 2,601 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns last season alone. Some prospects use the combine to boost their stock, but for Jeanty, the risk of a poor performance might outweigh the reward.

Of course, the question now is whether his draft stock will be impacted. He has openly expressed interest in playing for the Cowboys, even mentioning the team in a recent conversation with Jon Gruden. But Dallas, selecting at No. 12, faces plenty of uncertainty in the draft. If Jeanty is still available, will the Cowboys pull the trigger-or will their free-agency decisions force them to look elsewhere? With multiple holes to fill and a pivotal offseason ahead, there are no guarantees.

His resilience and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and his teammates are eager to have him back in action.

Arch Manning’s viral throw leaves fans speechless and confused

With Arch Manning stepping in as the starting quarterback, the Longhorns’ offense is set to gain a new dimension. Manning, a dual-threat quarterback with the ability to both pass and run, complements Baxter’s style perfectly. This combination could lead to a more dynamic and unpredictable offense, forcing defenses to prepare for both aerial and ground threats.

    The season prospects are interesting

Baxter’s return is expected to bring a significant boost to the Longhorns’ running game, which struggled in his absence. His ability to break tackles, find gaps in the defense, and accelerate downfield makes him a formidable asset. Coupled with Manning’s versatility, the Longhorns could see a shift from a predominantly passing game to a more balanced attack.

The anticipation is palpable as fans await the season opener. With Baxter’s return, the Texas Longhorns have the potential to recapture their lost charm and make a serious run for the championship. As the season unfolds, all eyes will be on the dynamic duo of CJ Baxter and Arch Manning, eager to see how their partnership will shape the future of Texas football.
