WATCH: When David Warner touched Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s feet in Hyderabad

Delhi Capitals (DC) secured their second consecutive victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 after registering a triumph over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday.

DC skipper David Warner was jumping in joy after the win as he was clearly happy with the Capitals returning to the winning ways. The contest was a special one for Warner as he was up against his old franchise.

No wonder the Aussie star was happy and excited from the beginning, and it was evident when Warner met his former SRH teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar ahead of the thrilling game.

In a clip shared by the official handle of IPL, which is getting viral on the internet, Warner can be spotted coming up with a heartwarming gesture while meeting Bhuvneshwar. Upon seeing Bhuvi, the DC captain rushed over and touched Bhuvneshwar’s feat. The duo then shared a warm hug and shook hands, and the whole act of Warner caused DC fast bowler Ishant Sharma to burst into laughter.

    Here is the video:

Notably, the Sunrisers signed both Warner and Bhuvneshwar in 2014, and the duo shared the change room from 2014 to 2021. The Aussie opener took on the role of captain for SRH in 2015 and remained in that position until 2021. Bhuvneshwar played an important role in SRH’s IPL 2016 championship victory and served as Warner’s deputy for a significant period of time. Additionally, he led the team in Warner’s absence.

During IPL 2021, Warner’s second stint as the captain of SRH came to a controversial end as he was dismissed from the position and left out of the playing XI. He later returned to the playing XI during the season’s second phase but was only given two games before being dropped once again.

On that note, let’s take a look at the top 3 HDFC Life Sar Utha Ke Jiyo mid-week moments of IPL 2023.

#3 Devon Conway sets the tone for CSK

Chennai opener Devon Conway was the Player of the Match as his franchise got the better of RCB in Bengaluru. He scored a brilliant 83 off only 45 balls to lay the platform for an impressive win for Chennai Super Kings. The Kiwi left-hander struck six fours and as many sixes in a dominant innings to secure his team’s position in the match.

After CSK lost Ruturaj Gaikwad for 3, Conway added 74 runs for the second wicket with Ajinkya Rahane (37) and 80 runs for the third wicket with Shivam Dube (52 off 27). Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma (28) and Ishan Kishan (38) got starts, but could not carry on. MI needed someone to lift the team to a challenging total. Green took responsibility and proved Mumbai’s investment plan with regard to his purchase was the right one. He played an excellent knock, smashing six fours and two sixes and was involved in a 56-run stand for the fourth wicket with Tilak Varma (37 off 17).

It must be said that LSG’s investment in the experienced cricketer is offering the franchise great returns.

Chasing 155, RR seemed to be in command as their openers added 87. However, Stoinis dismissed both Yashasvi Jaiswal (44) and Jos Buttler (40) to bring Lucknow right back into the contest. In the end, they ended up registering a close win. By performing with both bat and ball, Stoinis secured victory for Lucknow Super Giants, just HDFC Life’s whole life cover gives you and your family comprehensive financial protection and coverage. Twitter Reactions: Arjun Tendulkar takes maiden IPL wicket, helps Mumbai Indians win over Sunrisers Hyderabad

Get every cricket updates! Follow us on

As the world witnessed another last-over finish in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023, Mumbai Indians (MI) continued their winning spree with a third consecutive victory in Match No. 25 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday, April 18. Meanwhile, Arjun Tendulkar, who made his debut in MI’s previous outing against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), finally picked his maiden wicket in the marquee tournament with the dismissal of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Mumbai were invited to bat first by the hosts at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, and Rohit Sharma’s batters took complete advantage of the batter-friendly track and put up a mammoth 192/5 on the board. Cameron Green top scored for MI, where he started slow, but slowly accelerated his inning towards the death to take the team to a strong total.

Similar to their previous game, Arjun opened the bowling attack for the Mumbai-based franchise. He bowled two overs in the powerplay and conceded just 14 runs to restrict Hyderabad to 42/2, at the end of the powerplay. His first spell brought Hyderabad batters under immense pressure as they failed to hit big shots and also lost early wickets in an attempt to up the ante.

After that, SRH could never really make a comeback as their batters kept falling prey to MI’s tight bowling at regular intervals. Keeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen did try to lift the momentum by pelting experienced Piyush Chawla for two fours and two maximums in the 14th over, however, the bowler had the last laugh as the South African was caught in the deep by Tim David.

With Markram’s side still needing 20 runs to win off the last over, the MI skipper gave the ball in the hands of Arjun to defend the same with tailenders batting at the crease. The 23-year-old did not disappoint while giving away just four runs. On the fifth ball of the over, he bowled a full-length delivery to Kumar, who could only manage to play the ball directly into the hands of Rohit Sharma on the offside inside the inner circle. This meant that Arjun bagged his maiden scalp in the league, and also ended up being the most economical bowler for his side with an economy of 6.35 in his spell.

In the end, SRH fell short by 14 runs, thanks to combined efforts from all MI bowlers. Meanwhile, cricket fans and experts around the world heaped praise on the youngster and congratulated him through their social media posts.

Here’s how Twitterati reacted to Arjun Tendulkar’s successful outing against SRH:
