    All those years in college football are looking to pay off for Bo Nix. It seems the rookie quarterback has been taking all that experience and looks to lead the Denver Broncos back to the playoffs.

    It wont be easy, but if the head coach trusts the youngster, then he is in a good route. Sean Payton is very comfortable with his signal caller despite the fact that he is yet to complete his first ever preparation for an NFL season.

    “[Nix] is farther along than most would be,” the Broncos head coach said Thursday at OTAs. “He’s extremely smart. He’s picked it up very quickly,” he said about the 24-year-old former Auburn and Oregon star.

    Nix is more experienced than the average rookie quarterback, after playing for five seasons in college. He made 61 starts, an FBS record for a five-year quarterback with the Tigers and the Ducks.

    This has earned him first-team reps alongside Jarret Stidham and Zach Wilson. For now, there is no sign of who might be the starting quarterback for the season, considering those have been split reps, but there will be no surprise if the 12th pick of the 2024 NFL Draft is the Week 1 starter.

    Sean Payton’s system will allow Bo Nix to succeed

    Bo Nix is destined to have good numbers under Sean Payton. According to Pro Football Focus, in 14 games in 2023 he posted the FBS’ highest adjusted completion percentage and lowest turnover-worthy play rate with 85.5% and 1% respectively.

    Former Denver Broncos Super Bowl winning quarterback and Pro Football Hall of Famer Peyton Manning thinks Nix would benefit from playing right away. Since Manning retired in 2016, Denver has sailed between 13 different starting quarterbacks, so the organization would also benefit from Bo Nix being a solid starter for the long run.

    The Minnesota Vikings started their OTA’s on Monday and everyone in attendance could feel what the preparation for the new season will bring. A new quarterback in J. J. McCarthy is the to take control of the offense and his presence in the building is needed early and often on the practice field to start creating chemistry with his wide receivers, especially the leader of the group, Justin Jefferson.

    But there is one small problem. Just like everyone feels the new season, they could also feel the absence of their star wideout. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jefferson was not seen at the team’s training facility at the start of organized team activities, and it is believed it has to do with his contract situation.

    The former LSU star is entering the final year of his rookie deal and he will be making $19.7 million on the fifth-year option of this contract, and of course he wants to secure his future in Minnesota.

    The Vikings and the receiver have been in talks about a new contract extension, but a lack of progress led him to send a message of his unhappiness with the negotiations.

    Will he be a no-show if no extension is reached soon?

    Minnesota has six days of OTA’s scheduled for the remainder of the month of May but what is coming up in June is different. The organized team activities are voluntary, and players may skip them without any repercussion even if there is any hard feelings from people in the organization against players that actually don’t show up.

    However, from the 4th day of June until the 6th the minicamp will be held and if Justin Jefferson does not show up for that, he will be fined. It is a tense environment in Minnesota as of late, but at least there is optimism from the head coach.

    Kevin O’Connell talked to Kay Adams on her show Up & Adams and expressed his confidence on the matter. “I know everything’s going to get worked out there. Justin knows the love and admiration that I have for him, and he knows he’s such a big part of what we do around here.”

    The NBA will have a new champion as the Denver Nuggets blew away the seventh game of the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, after they simmengly had it under control, with a lead of 15 at halftime and 20 in the third quarter.

    However, and with enormous defensive work, the T-Wolves came back and won 97 to 90 to advance to the Western Conference Finals, where the Dallas Mavericks were already waiting.

    It is worth remembering that this is only the second time that the Wolves will be in the final stage in the west. Their previous appearance was in 2004, led by Kevin Garnett, when they lost in that series against the Lakers 4 games to 2.

    Against Dallas, the Timberwolves will be looking for their first NBA Finals appearance, with the beginning of an era that is led by another outstanding player in Anthony Edwards.

    The Timberwolves managed to shut down a Jamal Murray who was coming in with a hot hand. The Nuggets point guard already had 29 points at the start of the third quarter and scored just 6 points in the rest of the game. Without Murray as a factor, Denver was too dependent on what Nikola Jokic.

    The decisive putbacks by Naz Reid and Karl-Anthony Towns, who was the leading scorer with 23 points, plus some masterful touches by Anthony Edwards, helped secure the series win for Minnesota.

    The historic comeback by the Timberwolves

    Before this game, the largest halftime deficit to be overcome in a Game 7 was just 11 points with the 1975 Golden State Warriors, as they were down against Chicago 36-47 deficit at halftime, they ended up winning by a final of 83 to 79. The significant fact is that Golden State did not lose again that season, they advanced to the Finals and there they swept Washington 4 games to 0.

    In this case, Minnesota fell 53-38 at halftime and then roared in the second half to score 59 points while only allowing 37, earning a historic victory.

    But even if Jennifer Lopez is the first in line to be affected in many ways by the poor sales of tickets, she is not the only one feeling stress and pressure from what is going on.

    Former New England Patriots great Tom Brady took center stage during Netflix’s live special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, an event held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on Sunday, May 5.

    Brady maintained a cool demeanor in the face of jokes and insults from friends, former teammates and comedians, including Kevin Hart, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Drew Bledsoe, Randy Moss, Kim Kardashian and Nikki Glaser. The taunts covered a wide range of topics, from his sports career and personal decisions to his recent divorce.

    Some of the most pointed comments came from Hart, who not only joked about Brady’s decision to come out of retirement to play one final season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but also mocked his love life and his split from Gisele Bündchen.

    But the one with probably the hardest jokes was Glaser and according to reports, Gisele was hurt. The comedian is now trying to fix that relationship after apologizing.

    “I love her so much, but I feel she’s been roasting me just by existing my whole life, hot hot she is. So I felt like she had it coming. Not really, I didn’t go hard on her. It was a risk, but I hope she will forgive me one day because I really do love her,” Nikki said to TMZ.

    Gisele commented on the Netflix show

    The model and the former NFL star share two children, Vivian, 11, and Benjamin, 14. According to reports, Gisele protects them from comments about her parents’ personal lives. “Bündchen’s priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcast,” a source commented.

    The model’s reaction comes during a humanitarian aid that she has provided for the victims in Río Grande do Sul, Brazil, who have suffered from the floods. “I was worried about the family affected by the devastating floods, so hearing that their life was being joked about was very disappointing,” a close friend explained.

    UFC CEO Dana White was also part of the event and he made his presence felt, first by receiving shots from Jeff Ross for the company he was with on his table, but then he took the blows and started shooting himself.

    White, was angry because he was allowed to talk only a minute to roast Brady. He called out Netflix and its alleged woke agenda and said he will keep his roast ‘short like Gronk’s bus’. “It pisses me off that I flew all the way out here and you guys give me 60 seconds?” asked Dana. “My name is Dana. Is that not trans enough for you liberal f*cks?”

    Dana White did not stop there and made controversial comments

    After that comment, Dana White started to talk directly to Tom Brady by saying that he had played so long with the Patriots, he almost believed he was from Boston, that until he saw him run

    “Tom, you played for the Patriots for so long, that I was actually starting to feel like you were from Boston. Then I saw you run and I was like, no, he’s definitely from San Francisco.”

    But it was Tom Bradys TB12 brand partner Alex Guerrero who also was mentioned in Danas time at the mic, by insinuating that the two have a romance in a matter of a joke. Something that also made the crows laugh.

    The NBA sent 78 invitations to the scouting event, including Zaccharie Risacher, Alex Sarr and Donovan Clingan. The combine will be held from May 12 to the 19 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

    This will be first combine event that will a direct repercussion in the draft; all invited players are required to attend and participate in order to eligible for the upcoming draft. This is part of an agreement with the National Basketball Players Association and the league in the most recent collective bargaining agreement.

    Bronny James has things to prove at the combine

    Bronny James averaged 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game coming out from Sierra Canyon High School and in 2023 he was projected to have an immediate impact at USC, but in July Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing with his teammates and when he rejoined the team in December, his stats could not rise.

    Ahead of his fight versus Paulo Costa on UFC 302, Strickland has upset Mexican and other Hispanic fans with his latest comments about seeing foreign flags in the United States.

    He took to his social media to express what he thinks, and he didn’t hold back.

    “I’m so sick of seeing foreign flags in America. I don’t get it. You left your corrupt country to come to the USA and yet you still rep what you fled? The worst is Hispanics born in America flying a Mexican flag,” he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Where is your loyalty. Just go back. Enjoy your foreign flag.”

    Fans reacted replying on his post and it was not pretty

    As expected, many Mexican fans reacted to his comments on X and other Hispanics joined the conversation.

    “You’re not allowed to eat tacos anymore after this tweet Sean,” one user said.

    “O Sean. My guy Las Vegas is literally a Spanish word homie, lol. This was all land of Mexico Guey,” another one replayed.

    And the comments just kept piling up, so on his next public appearance or social media post, Sean Strickland might not get cheered a lot specially in a place where there are many Mexican fans.
