I’m excited about that and working with Mahela and we all know how great he was in his time. I’m buzzing for the experience and I think it can only do good for my cricket,” Bosch stated to Independent Media.

    Moreover, Bosch is thrilled to work under Mahela Jayawardena, one of IPL’s most successful coaches.     “A big goal of mine is to play as many games as possible. I just want to play good cricket. The big thing is that these leagues, I see it as a huge opportunity to learn and grow my game so that when the next big opportunity comes, be it international cricket or another league, my game will stretch up to another level,” he added, emphasizing how exposure in leagues like the IPL can elevate a player’s game.

    “Hopefully, I come back a much better cricketer and more rounded cricketer so that one day we can win a trophy for South Africa,” Bosch said.

The Mumbai Indians’ innings got off to a shaky start with early wickets falling, including the dismissals of key players Rohit Sharma and Naman Dhir for ducks.

    However, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya steadied the ship with contributions of 32 and 34 runs respectively. Despite their efforts, the Mumbai Indians struggled to accelerate, managing only 125 runs at the end of their innings. Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal were exceptional with the ball for the Royals, picking up crucial wickets to keep the Mumbai Indians’ scoring in check.

    In response, the Rajasthan Royals chased down the target comfortably, reaching 127/4 in just 15.3 overs. Riyan Parag was the star of the show for the Royals, smashing a brilliant half-century with 54 runs off 39 deliveries, supported by valuable contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, and Ravichandran Ashwin.

    Kyle Jamieson, who has been recovering from a back injury, is quite under-cooked concerning game time and has not played an international game since June 2022. On the other hand, Trent Boult, who has played a vital role in the Kiwis’ setup for the last decade or so, last played an ODI game against Australia at Cazaly’s Stadium in Cains back in September 2022.
