    Yuvraj Singh trolls Gautam Gambhir

Recently, Gambhir took his Instagram to share pictures from the vacation with Natasha.

Yuvraj, who played alongside Gambhir in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup, soon posted a hilarious comment. “Tu na Hasio GG,” wrote Yuvi.

The playful exchange highlights the camaraderie and banter often seen among former teammates in the cricketing world. Gambhir, currently serving as the head coach of the Indian cricket team, seems to be enjoying a well-deserved break before the upcoming five-match Test series against England. Despite Yuvraj’s teasing, Gambhir’s vacation appears to be a refreshing escape from his coaching responsibilities.

“She is a confidante and a friend who helps me navigate life”: Gambhir

Gambhir and Natasha tied the knot in October 2011, shortly after India won the ICC Cricket World Cup. Their relationship began in 2007 when they were introduced at a friend’s party, evolving from friendship to love over several years. The couple’s families had known each other for decades, which provided a strong foundation for their bond.

Before their marriage, Gambhir had a unique condition: he insisted on waiting until after the World Cup to get married. This condition was accepted by Natasha, showcasing their mutual respect and understanding. Since their marriage, they have welcomed two daughters, Aazeen in 2014 and Anaiza in 2017, enriching their family life.

Before going out for a vacation to France, Gambhir shared how Natasha’s support has been monumental for him so far.

“Natasha has been a pillar of support in every way possible. She is a partner in the true sense of the word. I can go out and try my best, only because she is in my life. Her support is not just as a wife or the mum of our kids, but as a confidante and a friend who helps me navigate various situations in life,” the 43-year-old was quoted as saying to Hindustan Times.

  • BGT 2024-25: Yuvraj Singh predicts the winner and scoreline of India-Australia Test series

BGT 2024-25: Yuvraj Singh predicts the winner and scoreline of India-Australia Test series

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has made his predictions for the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where India and Australia will face off in a five-match Test series. The series will commence in November 2024 and conclude in January 2025, with matches spread over three months. This high-profile contest is set to grab the attention of cricket fans globally. India has had notable success in Australia, having won the last two series on Australian soil in 2018-19 and 2020-21, both with a 2-1 margin.

Border Gavaskar Trophy Series schedule and venues

The series opener will take place in Perth, known for its fast, bouncy conditions that typically favor the home side. This will be followed by the second Test at the Adelaide Oval, where a day-night Test under lights will be played starting December 6. The third Test is scheduled in Brisbane from December 14 to 18. The series will then head to Melbourne for the traditional Boxing Day Test from December 26 to 30, with the final Test taking place in Sydney from January 3 to 7. The outcome of this series could play a crucial role in determining India’s qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, set to be held in June 2025 in England.

    Yuvraj Singh’s bold prediction

During a discussion on the Club Prairie Fire YouTube Podcast, alongside cricket experts Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan, Yuvraj Singh expressed confidence in India’s chances of securing their third consecutive series win in Australia. Yuvraj predicted a 3-2 victory for Rohit Sharma’s team, continuing India’s impressive performance Down Under.

Reflecting on resilience of he younger generation

Yuvraj highlighted India’s consistent performances in Australia over the last two tours. Despite India’s struggles in the ICC World Test Championship 2023 final, where Australia emerged victorious, Yuvraj pointed out that the team had previously made history by winning two back-to-back Test series in Australia. He recalled how India bounced back from being bowled out for just 36 runs in the opening Test of their last tour to eventually win the series 2-1, an achievement he believes showed the resilience of the younger generation.

“India were 30 all-out on the previous tour and they won the series 2-1 from there. I would have never thought India could win 2-1 after losing like that in the first Test. The current generation doesn’t think too much about the opposition, and I thought the preparation of the younger guys was really good when they went to Australia compared to when we toured back in the day,” Yuvraj said on the Club Prairie Fire Podcast.

    Challenges ahead for Team India

While Yuvraj is optimistic about India’s chances, he acknowledged that winning in Australia is never an easy task. He emphasized the importance of preparation and teamwork, remarking that beating Australia in their home conditions is akin to winning a World Cup.

“Beating Australia twice in Australia is quite big, especially considering our history when we never won in Australia. I am sure they will be prepared but it won’t be easy beating Australia in Australia. It’s like winning a World Cup but it’s not impossible. If they prepare well and stick to each other, they can win,” Yuvraj concluded.

    Australia’s motivation for victory

On the other hand, Australia will be motivated to reclaim the BGT on their home soil. Their last Test series win against India came during the 2014-15 series, and they will be eager to replicate that success in this upcoming contest. With both teams gearing up for an intense battle, the upcoming fight for the BGT promises to be one of the most thrilling Test series in recent memory.

  • Yograj Singh’s bitter tirades against Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni surface the cricketing world

Yograj Singh’s bitter tirades against Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni surface the cricketing world

Yograj Singh, father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has once again sparked controversy with his venomous attacks on legendary Indian cricketers. In a series of scathing remarks, Yograj has targeted both Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Kapil Dev, two of the most revered figures in Indian cricket history.

Yograj Singh’s vendetta against Kapil Dev

Yograj’s latest outburst was directed at Kapil, the captain of India’s historic 1983 World Cup-winning team. In a video that went viral on social media, he launched a personal attack on Kapil, accusing him of playing a key role in his exclusion from the Indian team in 1981.

Yograj claimed that Yuvraj’s 13 major trophies in his career overshadow Dev’s sole World Cup title. “The greatest captain of our time, Kapil Dev… I told him, I’ll leave you in a position where the world would spit on you. Today, Yuvraj Singh has 13 trophies, and you have only one, the World Cup. End of discussion,” Yograj asserted in an interview with Zee Switch.

This derogatory remark has drawn widespread condemnation from fans and critics alike.

Yograj continues his feud with Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Yograj’s attacks on Dhoni, who led India to the 2011 World Cup title, have been ongoing for several years. In this previous interview, he accused Dhoni of “ruining” Yuvraj’s career and vowed to never forgive him. Singh’s relentless criticism of Dhoni has raised concerns about his motivations and the impact his words may have on the young cricketer.

“I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life – first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids,” he said.

A demand of Bharat Ratna for Yuvraj Singh

In one of his most controversial statements, Yograj has demanded that the Indian government award his son, Yuvraj, the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honour in India. Singh has argued that Yuvraj’s achievements, including playing with cancer and winning the World Cup, make him worthy of the prestigious award.

Yograj added: “That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won’t be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country.”

Cricket fans criticise Yograj’s training to Arjun Tendulkar

Amidst the controversy surrounding his comments, it was revealed that Yograj had been approached by Sachin Tendulkar to train his son Arjun. While some fans expressed their support for this collaboration, others voiced concerns about Yograj’s negative influence on the young cricketer. Many netizens took to social media to urge Arjun to distance himself from Yograj, citing his toxic behaviour and derogatory remarks.

His behaviour is a stark reminder of the toxic culture that can sometimes permeate the world of sports. Yograj’s constant attacks on former teammates and rivals are not only disrespectful but also harmful to the image of Indian cricket. It is imperative that such individuals are called out for their actions and held accountable for their words. As Singh continues to make headlines with his controversial statements, it remains to be seen how the Indian cricket community will respond to his actions.

  • “Yuvraj Singh was happy when I got out on a duck”- Abhishek Sharma’s sensational accusations

“Yuvraj Singh was happy when I got out on a duck”- Abhishek Sharma’s sensational accusations

Sunday was a memorable day for Abhishek Sharma as he went into the record books of the Indian cricket team. He became the fourth-youngest to score a T20I century for India and took the least number of innings.

He got to his hundred off just 47 balls as he scored his last 50 runs in just 13 balls. He got to his landmark with three consecutive sixes and became the first batter to do so.

Sharma made his T20I debut for India and was out for a duck. He made the most of his chances count in the second T20I with his aggressive style and counter-attacking display. He was chosen as the Man of the Match and in his post-match interaction he thanked his skipper Shubman Gill, coach VVS Laxman, and the entire support staff for backing him.

In a video shared by the BCCI on their official X handle, Abhishek Sharma spoke about playing with Shubman Gill’s bat, his interaction with his parents and Yuvraj Singh, and a lot more.

“We lost the match on Saturday. So after I got a good start I thought this might be my day. The positive was that we didn’t have much time to think about the next game because it was on the next day. When I felt like I can take on a particular bowler I went for it. I came into a flow while batting and thus I wanted to go out there and express myself,” said Abhishek.

He also spoke about his interaction with Ruturaj Gaikwad. The duo added a 137-run stand to give India a good platform for their final big score.

“I spoke to Rutu as well. He asked me to go for hit and hit the balls that were in my area and not to think much about the balls” added Abhishek.

The southpaw then revealed the reason behind playing with Shubman Gill’s bat and how more often than not it has brought him success.

“This is going in since our U-14 days. Whenever I have played with his bat I have scored like I did today. Today also I want to tell everybody, I played with his bat only. It was difficult to get his bat as he does not give his bat easily. That is like my last option when I feel like I need to play with his bat to make a comeback. Special thanks to Shubman for giving me his bat. This was a much-needed innings for me and for the team as well” said Sharma.

He then spoke to his family and also with Yuvraj Singh on video call. His parents seemed very excited while talking to him. They had a big smile on their face after seeing their son succeed at the international level.

Yuvraj Singh issues legal notices to real estate firms for privacy infringement and delayed possessions

Former Team India’s world champion and southpaw Yuvraj Singh has issued two legal notices to Delhi-based real estate firms claiming arbitrary clauses in relation to privacy rights violations through unfair promotional activities for projects conducted by the said firms.

Moreover, Singh has also claimed that the delivery of the projects in terms of possession as assured by these firms was also not fulfilled in due time. Notably, the former cricket star had booked a dwelling unit in Delhi’s Hauz Khas region back in 2020. The law firm by the name of Rizwan Law Associates representing Yuvraj Singh served notice with the claim of damages caused due to project delay and has also sought a Letter of Possession if there is no sufficient reason to hold the possession or any extension required for completion of the said project.

Besides, it has also come to light that Singh was assured of a premium quality apartment but the real estate failed to do so by allotting an apartment of inferior quality of a much lower grade. Notably, this matter belonged to M/S Uppal Housing Private Limited who are one of the noticees mentioned in the legal notices. Another firm named M/S Brilliant Etoile Private Limited has been served the second notice for blatantly violating Intellectual Property rights along with infringement of privacy rights.

It is vital to point out that in this regard an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was duly signed by the concerned parties about the promotion and endorsement of projects undertaken by the above-mentioned real estate firm. The face-off was between Punjab and Bihar. Where Punjab scored a mammoth 839 runs in reply to Bihar’s 357. Yuvraj took 579 deliveries on his way to creating a historic 358*.

  • ‘In franchise cricket, it always gets tough as you get old’ – Yuvraj Singh opens up on Mumbai Indians’ captaincy change row

‘In franchise cricket, it always gets tough as you get old’ – Yuvraj Singh opens up on Mumbai Indians’ captaincy change row

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh recently came forward with a shocking proposition as he questioned veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin’s place in the India white-ball squad. Ashwin has been a sporadic member of India’s white-ball squad in recent years.

He was included in the T20 World Cup 2021 and 2022 squads and was called up to the 2023 ODI World Cup squad as a last-minute replacement as well. However, the veteran has often lost his place in the final XI.

Yuvraj Singh opined that Ashwin is excellent with the ball and in the field but questioned his contribution with the bat and opined that while he should make to the Test team, his inclusion in the ODI and T20I formats should be questioned.

“Ashwin is a great bowler, but I don’t think he deserves a place in ODIs and T20s. He is very good with the ball, but what does he bring with the bat? Or as a fielder? In the Test team, yes, he should be there. But in white-ball cricket, I don’t think he deserves a place,” Yuvraj Singh told the Times of India.

A franchise has to think long-term: Yuvraj Singh

Furthermore, Singh also gave his take on IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, replacing veteran skipper Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya for the upcoming season of the marquee tournament. Yuvraj opined that every franchise has to think long-term and he himself went through the same thing. It was recently announced that Hardik Pandya will be taking over MI’s captaincy from Rohit Sharma in the IPL 2024.

“In franchise cricket, it always gets tough as you get old. Every franchise is always looking to promote a young player on whom they have spent a lot, and that is only fair. I have faced this situation too. But then, there can’t be a replacement for experience. Rohit has huge experience and has delivered. But a franchise has to think long-term,” he said.
