In a display of sportsmanship, former Mumbai Indians (MI)<\/strong> captain Rohit Sharma<\/strong> was seen urging the crowd to stop booing current skipper Hardik Pandya<\/strong> during their IPL 2024<\/strong> match against Rajasthan Royals (RR)<\/strong>. The video and pictures capturing the moment have gone viral on social media.<\/p>\n This comes amidst Hardik facing criticism from a section of the home crowd ever since taking over the captaincy from Rohit. Rohit fell for a golden duck, edging an outswinger from Trent Boult<\/strong> to RR wicketkeeper and captain Sanju Samson<\/strong>. Boult continued his fiery spell, dismissing\u00a0 Naman Dhir<\/strong> and Dewald Brevis<\/strong> for ducks as well.<\/p>\n Tilak Varma<\/strong> (32) and Hardik Pandya<\/strong> (34) showed some resistance in the middle. But as soon as Hardik departed in the 10th over, with MI at 76\/5, the rest of the batters failed to capitalize. Eventually, MI were restricted for a meagre 125\/9 by the Rajasthan bowlers.<\/p>\n RR chased down the target comfortably in 15.3 overs, thanks to a brilliant unbeaten 54 from Riyan Parag<\/strong>. Akash Madhwal was the lone bright spot for MI with his three wickets. This loss marked Mumbai\u2019s third consecutive defeat in the IPL 2024 season.<\/p>\n\n
