Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle<\/a> cleared customs with his second home run against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n The five-year MLB vet blasted a solo shot 443 feet off Jays pitcher Bowden Francis in the top of the fifth inning as Baltimore easily won the second game of a four-game series with its AL East rival, 10-1.<\/p>\n Per Baseball Savant<\/a>, Mountcastle’s long bomb had an exit velocity of 108.1 mph and was his hardest-hit home run<\/a> since April 28<\/a> and his longest of the season.<\/p>\n Mountcastle also hit a three-run blast in the top of the third inning and finished the game 2-for-5 at the plate.<\/p>\n This season, he has 10 home runs with .286\/.325\/.512 batting splits. Mountcastle has been on a tear since May 21. In his last 13 games, he’s hitting .385 (20-for-52) with four home runs.<\/p>\n The Orioles (39-20) trail the first-place Yankees (43-19) in the AL East. They’ve won eight of their last 10, including the first two in their current series against the Blue Jays (28-32).<\/p>\n Toronto is scheduled to start Jose Berrios on Wednesday. Per Stathead<\/a>, Mountcastle only has two career hits in 19 at-bats against Berrios, but both were home runs.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
