The NBA big guns strut their stuff in the 2023 All-Star game live from Utah on Monday at 12pm (AEDT).<\/p>\n

While the starters and reserves for the marquee match have already been announced, the teams themselves are still yet to be decided. <\/p>\n

That will happen around 30 minutes before tip off when team captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo choose their respective sides on the court playground style in a tweak to the format after the squads had previously been chosen well before the game itself.<\/p>\n

James and Antetokounmpo will first pick from the reserves pool and then select their starters.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the only change, with the format of the game different this year too. The first three quarters will be 12 minutes long and the team that wins each period will be awarded a cash prize to go to charity.<\/p>\n

The fourth term will then use the Elam Ending to play to a target score, which will be determined by the winning team\u2019s point total after three quarters and adding 24 points.<\/p>\n

The game caps off the NBA\u2019s All-Star weekend after Saturday\u2019s Rising Star Challenge followed by Sunday\u2019s Skills Challenge, 3-Point Contest and Slam Dunk Contest.<\/p>\n
