After months of relentlessly pursuing five-star prospect Julian Lewis<\/strong>, the Colorado Buffaloes<\/strong> head coach decided to sit on a powder keg, bringing in another star quarterback.<\/p>\n It is well known that Shedeur Sanders, the current QB1 of the Buffs, already has one foot in the NFL<\/strong>. Coach Prime’s<\/em> son had a superb campaign, and media and fans are waiting for him to declare for the 2025 Draft, where he would be among the first five picks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n With his star about to leave, Sanders Sr. did everything possible to bring Lewis to Boulder<\/strong>, getting him to break his commitment to USC. Fast forward three weeks, and NCAA insiders claim that Liberty star Kaidon Salter is about to visit Colorado<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In a post on X (formerly Twitter), CBS insider Matt Zenitz<\/strong> reported, “Former Liberty star QB Kaidon Salter plans to visit Syracuse this week and is also currently planning on visiting Colorado and Florida State.”<\/em> The news spread like wildfire, causing all kinds of reactions<\/strong>, many of them negative.<\/p>\n Among the critics of the move is Coach Breeze<\/strong>, host of the podcast Cooling it w\/ Coach Breeze<\/em>. The analyst bluntly called Deion Sanders’ idea a “bad business move.”<\/em> On his account on X, Breeze recalled that Colorado “already has their guy of the future,”<\/em> in Julian Lewis.<\/p>\n However, Breeze<\/strong> highlighted the possibility of Salter coming to Colorado<\/a> “for a year while they get Julian Lewis ready… and Deion Sanders, Kaidon Salter, and Julian Lewis are all in on and agree with the plan.”<\/em><\/p>\n This season marked the resurgence of the Buffs<\/strong>. After a humiliating 4-8 in 2023, the team fell one step short of the CFP by going 9-3, which earned them a ticket to the Alamo Bowl.
