Marcus Rashford is part of Manchester United\u2019s Carabao Cup final squad traveling to Wembley to face off against Newcastle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rashford picked up a knock in his last game against Barcelona in the Europa League and was substituted in the second half, causing a few worries.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tRashford picked up an injury against Barcelona\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag<\/a> said on Friday that Rashford\u2019s fitness was going to be assessed to see if he could play in the final on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Dutch manager told the media: \u201cI don\u2019t know, the players now are coming in \u2014 we have to do a medical investigation, we did straight after the game, but most of time you have to wait for a 100 per cent diagnosis.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, though, there is more optimism that he will take part as he has been named in the traveling squad.<\/p>\n

Rashford<\/a> posted a picture on his Instagram story after the Barcelona game with the bandage emoji, suggesting he had suffered an injury that could rule him out of the final.<\/p>\n

A video also emerged of him limping out of Old Trafford after the game and that wasn\u2019t an encouraging sign for Man United.<\/p>\n

There forward options are already thin as Wout Weghorst the only other Red Devil capable of playing as a striker, with Anthony Martial already ruled out of the game.<\/p>\n

Rashford has been in the form of his career this campaign having netted a career-best 24 goals this season already.<\/p>\n

Four of those goals have come in the Carabao Cup, making him the joint-top goalscorer and a goal in the final could give him the outright lead in the competition.<\/p>\n

More importantly for him, though, is a chance for Man United to end a trophy drought that has lasted nearly six years, with the club\u2019s last trophy coming in 2017 when they won the Europa League.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
