That\u2019s according to one Manchester United<\/a> fan who suggested the club should cash-in on their newest superstar.<\/p>\n

But one supporter on his way out of the Theatre of Dreams gave Jason Cundy a nightmare<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Amad Diallo was United\u2019s saviour once again, this time against Southampton as he miraculously turned a 1-0 deficit into a 3-1 win<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim\u2019s side were on course for a crushing defeat to the Premier League\u2019s bottom side, but thanks to their Ivorian wonderkid they avoided embarrassment and he stole the headlines.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time either, with Diallo United\u2019s most productive player in the league with six goals and six assists, the latest – his first career hat-trick – stopping a four-game losing run.<\/p>\n

Yet having just departed Old Trafford after witnessing a performance for the ages, talkSPORT caller Ben was on hand to give a staggering take.<\/p>\n

He said on Sports Bar: \u201cI think Diallo has been by far United\u2019s best player under Amorim but, and this is where it becomes very controversial, I think in the summer if a team comes sniffing for him we take the offer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s got his highest ceiling now in terms of getting money in for him. We could then buy a player who fits Amorim\u2019s system in a more natural way.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would be interested if United had a recall on Jadon Sancho<\/a> because in that system behind the striker he would fit better than Diallo.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think United come under pressure when teams put men behind the ball, Diallo\u2019s great when we\u2019re counter attacking but Sancho would find room in those little spaces, and I think we\u2019ve got to look at that English quota as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf someone came and offered \u00a370million or \u00a380million I\u2019d take it. I\u2019d look at Florian Wirtz<\/a> at Bayer Leverkusen, he\u2019s a natural ten in a two behind a striker.\u201d<\/p>\n

Host and former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy had to put a stop to what he was hearing.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry, Ben, I\u2019ve had enough,\u201d he interjected. \u201cWhat are you talking about?\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you\u2019ve probably chosen the worst day ever to make this argument. Diallo just scored a hat-trick in 14 minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAgainst Southampton,\u201d Ben replied. \u201cAaron Ramsdale passed him the ball and he got an easy tap-in for the third.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cundy then came up with a crafty plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you\u2019re on a wind up, you\u2019re not a United fan,\u201d he said before pausing. \u201cCould you wait there for me Ben, stay on the line.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s go to the next line and speak to Roger. Rog, have you just heard Ben, do you want to speak to him?\u201d<\/p>\n

Rather staggeringly, though, Roger was in agreement, with Cundy\u2019s plan backfiring and his head going straight into his hands.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the money\u2019s right, yes,\u201d Roger said. \u201cI\u2019d say \u00a3120 or \u00a3130million like Alexander Isak.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay. Right. I might be in a parallel universe,\u201d Cundy finished.<\/p>\n
