Troy Deeney found himself in a debate with a defiant Man United fan after he claimed that Raheem Sterling would get into the team at Old Trafford.<\/strong><\/p>\n The talkSPORT host made the claim about the Arsenal star earlier this season after seeing Antony, Bruno Fernandes<\/a> and other offensive stars struggle under Erik ten Hag in the autumn.<\/p>\n 4<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> Prior to Man United\u2019s win against Southampton<\/a> on Thursday, Ruben Amorim\u2019s side were winless in four matches after losing to Newcastle, Bournemouth and Wolves.<\/p>\n And with the rumoured departure of players such as Marcus Rashford<\/a>, Amorim is in need of new attackers to increase their goal threat.<\/p>\n And despite Sterling mostly sitting on the bench for the Gunners, Deeney holds the opinion that he could be of use to them.<\/p>\n Man United fan Aaron called in to Matterface, Crook and Deeney to question the ex-Watford star on the matter, saying: \u201cI just wanted to ask him if he still thinks that Raheem Sterling<\/a> is better than anything at Old Trafford?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n In response Deeney said: \u201cAt the time, yeah he was. When you look at it and you\u2019re still bringing on Antony<\/a> I would say yeah.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019ve got Diallo who\u2019s obviously doing well\u2026 he\u2019s playing as a wingback though isn\u2019t he? So this was, if you remember before the manager came in and the system changed.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked if Sterling is better than Bruno Fernandes<\/a>, Deeney asked: “Have you been watching recently?.<\/p>\n “I know he scores a goal, but he\u2019s not been great.\u201d<\/p>\n Aaron countered back and stated: \u201cHow can Sterling be better than anyone at Old Trafford.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cListen to what I\u2019m saying and you’ll understand,\u201d interrupted Deeney.<\/p>\n 4<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> 4<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> “Bruno Fernandes in this formation has moved up, right? Under the new manager in a new formation he’s moved up.”<\/p>\n But Aaron was not accepting Deeney\u2019s opinions, saying: \u201cOn any day Fernandes is better than Sterling it doesn\u2019t matter what you say.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re meant to be a pundit and you said Raheem Sterling who can\u2019t even get off the bench for Arsenal.<\/p>\n “I can name you three or four players better than Sterling.
