Manchester United have identified their ‘most likely’ striker target for the summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n A move for the forward could also see Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> leave Old Trafford in a swap deal.<\/p>\n 4<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> 4<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> The Danish striker has struggled for consistency in front of goal since signing from Atalanta<\/a> last summer.<\/p>\n He has scored 24 goals in 82 appearances for United following his strike against Leicester on Sunday.<\/p>\n However, that goal was his first for 21 matches after an agonising goal drought for the Red Devils.<\/p>\n Hojlund is now expected to leave the club in the summer despite having three years remaining on his contract.<\/p>\n talkSPORT’s Alex Crook told Inside Devils<\/a>: “I think he\u2019ll move on at the end of the season. I think there\u2019s interest from Italy.<\/p>\n “I think Ineos and Ruben Amorim are not necessarily convinced that he\u2019s the man to lead the line moving forward.”<\/p>\n Prior to joining United, Hojlund scored nine goals in 32 Serie A appearances for Atalanta.<\/p>\n He had been the Red Devils’ top scorer during his debut campaign but his goals have dried up significantly this term<\/p>\n The 22-year-old’s departure would leave Ruben Amorim<\/a> short of attacking options, with Joshua Zirkzee<\/a> his only other senior striker.<\/p>\n Although youngster Chido Obi-Martin has appeared this term after joining from Arsenal, a new striker would likely replace Hojlund in the squad.<\/p>\n 4<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> 4<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> As for potential additions, Crook added: “(Hugo) Ekitike has been played down to me today. I\u2019m not sure he\u2019s in any desperate rush to leave his current club.<\/p>\n “I think (Victor) Osimhen is the most likely because I think he\u2019s going to be available for the type of price that United can afford.<\/p>\n “I think his wage demands have come down from where they were a year ago, obviously he\u2019s been playing in Turkey, and I think he has that proven pedigree.<\/p>\n “So it wouldn\u2019t surprise me if Hojlund goes back to Italy, and there\u2019s interest from the likes of Napoli I\u2019m told, and Osimhen comes in the opposite direction.”<\/p>\n Victor Osimhen<\/a> enters the final year of his Napoli deal this summer, two years on from winning the Serie A golden boot.<\/p>\n The Nigerian is currently on loan at Galatasaray<\/a>, where he has scored 26 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions.<\/p>\n As for Hugo Ekitike, both United and Arsenal<\/a> have been linked with the 22-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt<\/a> star.<\/p>\n However, the French Under-21 international is valued at around \u00a367million by the German side, with four years left on his deal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n![\"The](\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/03\/rasmus-hojlund-manchester-united-pitch-976913671_e4d427.jpg?strip=all&w=686\")
