Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has spoken out on Jack Grealish’s state of mind after he was assaulted after the Manchester derby. <\/strong><\/p>\n Guardiola revealed that Grealish ‘does not feel good’ after he was assaulted after the game last week – the same game in which vile chants about Phil Foden’s mother<\/a> rung around Old Trafford. <\/p>\n 3<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> Asked on how both Grealish and his teammate Foden<\/a> were after the two separate incidents, Guardiola described them as ‘crazy’.<\/p>\n “He doesn’t feel good, but [they] move forward,” the Man City boss said in his press conference ahead of Saturday’s Premier League<\/a> clash with Crystal Palace<\/a>.<\/p>\n “It’s happening everywhere, it’s a crazy world right? Everything happening all around the world, not just in sport, issues.<\/p>\n “Nobody is aware of that, it’s not just about [Manchester] United. United of course is beyond that person who doesn’t defend what it is. <\/p>\n “It happens sometimes, but it’s not a problem about a specific club departments. It happens everywhere and you take a look around and think we’re not on the right path.”<\/p>\n It comes after the 0-0 Manchester derby at Old Trafford earlier this month ended with Grealish being assaulted by a 20-year-old man<\/a>.<\/p>\n The man was charged with assault on the Man City star, with the alleged incident is said to have occurred after the full time whistle at\u00a0Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n It is claimed Grealish was coaxed over by a member of the crowd next to the tunnel, only for the alleged slap in the face to take place.<\/p>\n Grealish\u00a0<\/a>is not believed to have been seriously injured.<\/p>\n In a statement at the time, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester\u00a0Police\u00a0said: “Alfie Holt, 20, of Haven Drive, Droylsden, has been charged with assault. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates Court.<\/p>\n 3<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> “This charge relates to an incident which took place at Old Trafford Football Club yesterday [Sunday].”<\/p>\n The \u00a3100million man’s alleged incident with the fan was not the only controversy involving supporters at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n Sections of the United crowd came under fire from City boss Pep Guardiola over a\u00a0derogatory chant regarding Phil Foden’s mother.<\/a><\/p>\n After the game, Guardiola spoke out on the matter: “Lack of class – but it’s not United, it’s the people,” he said.<\/p>\n “We are so exposed, people who are on the screen in world football – managers, owners, and football players especially.<\/p>\n “It is honestly I don’t understand in the mind of the people involving the mum of Phil, being involved in that.<\/p>\n![\"Grealish](\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/crop-3095369_2c7b58.jpg?strip=all&w=960\")
