While the list of players inspiring change is massive, we look at five who have created inspirational companies for multiple causes in honor of Women\u2019s History Month this month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Erin McLeod \u2013 Mindful Project<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a id=\"_LBVcP71TpFIQ-jhNItgJQ\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1341054706\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On the field, McLeod is a world-class goalkeeper who recently left the Orlando Pride after two seasons and retired from the Canadian Women\u2019s National Team after over 20 years representing her national team. She currently plays in Iceland for Stjarnan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">McLeod is a co-founder of a company called\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.themindfulproject.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Mindful Project<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. The organization aims to help athletes, teachers, students, and parents become aware of their thoughts and feelings to have appropriate reactions not made out of stress or anxiety. In addition, they help to teach mindfulness through programs and training to promote emotional awareness, self-acceptance, and purposeful focus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jasmyne Spencer \u2013 Jas It Up<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a id=\"_12GZq3kS-Npw-T0iW3h1w\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1387527374\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Spencer has been in the NWSL since the league\u2019s inaugural season in 2013. The forward is currently playing for Angel City FC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In 2016 she created a headband company called Jas It Up Headbands that has since evolved to just\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jasitupofficial.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jas It Up<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> and is a sustainable lifestyle brand. The company aims to create long-lasting clothes to protect the environment. The company currently has four collections, one being the GONE BY 2050 line that focuses on bringing awareness to climate change, with 10% of profits being donated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sarah Gorden \u2013 HoodSpace Chi<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a id=\"jsXL_3pkS5didf0aFcuvFA\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1384359021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Before being traded to Angel City FC in 2022, Gordon had spent her career with the Chicago Red Stars. While in Chicago, she started an organization called <a href=\"https:\/\/girlssoccernetwork.com\/hoodspace-chi-sarah-gordens-mental-health-nonprofit-for-girls-of-color\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HoodSpace Chi<\/a>. The nonprofit came to life in 2020 and is meant to help tackle mental health for girls of color. HoodSpace uses outlets like sports, meditation, and yoga to help create healing spaces.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jessica McDonald \u2013 Soccer Resilience\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a id=\"LQpx0jQTSr5oD5VYOg7sbQ\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1240844117\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As a player, McDonald has played on many teams and is currently a forward for Racing Louisville. In addition, she is a co-founder of Soccer Resilience, a company that provides mental fitness support around the game of soccer at all stages, including parents, players, coaches, and referees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Soccer Resilience also has current NWSL players like Cari Roccaro and Brianna Pinto as ambassadors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Jane Campbell \u2013 Ace of Spades\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a id=\"ue64VnUMQDFdocNChFUPuQ\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/1242238500\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Current Houston Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell is another player who created a clothing line with <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aceofspadesapparel.org\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ace of Spades Apparel<\/span><\/a>. The<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> clothing company has partnered with the Blue Angels Foundation, and 10% of all sales are donated to the foundation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Blue Angels Foundation aims to help wounded veterans and raise awareness of veteran suicide.
