maiden world junior title in 2022 and an impressive World Cup silver in January 2023, but those were ultimately just the warm-up acts for the 2023 senior Worlds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"sqsrte-small\">Stood at the top of the slopestyle course, ahead of her final run, Mia found herself guaranteed at least silver after a stunning opening round.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"sqsrte-small\">However, the 16-year-old wanted more and was aware that in order to do so she would have to land a move never before achieved by a woman in competition.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"sqsrte-small\">\u201cI knew that if I wanted to win, I&#8217;d have to do it (CAB) 12 or try the (CAB) 14 and I was like, \u2018You know what, I want to be the world&#8217;s first to do a 14 anyway, I&#8217;ve got second secured, I&#8217;ve got nothing to lose\u2019 and I just went for it,\u201d she recalls.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"sqsrte-small\">\u201cObviously going down, through the course it was going through my mind and I was thinking \u2018okay, landed that, landed that\u2019 and then as soon as I landed the back-nine I was like, \u2018it&#8217;s gonna happen\u2019, I could just tell. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;white-space:pre-wrap;\" class=\"sqsrte-small\">\u201cI landed it and it was just amazing and I couldn\u2019t believe it, but I then had to concentrate because the run wasn\u2019t finished and I had to keep riding to the bottom but it was just insane!\u201d
