The fifth-round pick fromColorado has done well in OTAs & minicamp. He showed guts, arm skill, & a sharp sense of the game. Even with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, & third-pick Dillon Gabriel ahead, Sanders has the coaches’ desired eye. But the QB mix in Cleveland is getting really tough. The Browns had a bad year, with a 3-14 score, & their line let 66 sacks through last year. To play a new QB in Week 1 could be a big risk, more so as Sanders had a hard time at Colorado with a bad line.

Is Sanders Part of Cleveland’s Long Plan?

He has shown he has the needed skills. Yet, the Browns’ QB plan is not clear. Some think if the Browns perform bad, they could pick Arch Manning next year.

Manning, the top Texas QB, is seen as a prime pick for the 2026 NFL Draft. The Browns picked two QBs this year. Yet, they might not view Sanders or Gabriel as their main future QB. They have a test-it QB room with old hands like Flacco & Pickett to keep things calm. If the Browns do bad again, they may want go to the market for a new QB next year.

What Could be Next for Sanders?

Sanders has gone past what was thought, with cheers from coaches & Browns greats. His four-year, $4.6 million deal shows the team sees him as worth it. But his spot in Cleveland is not just about his skill, it is also about if the Browns give him a real shot.

Shedeur Sanders has been a top tier player this summer camp with the Cleveland Browns. Both coaches and teammates love his game. His play in OTAs & minicamp shows his accuracy, arm strength, and leadership. This has fans guessing what his spot as a QB might be.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski is all for Sanders. He said he “likes everything about Shedeur” and is struck by his hard work & skill to learn fast.Browns player Greg Newsome II also cheered for Sanders, set he is “amazing” an good at dealing with the press & stress.

For now, Sanders is an unsure part in the Browns’ QB plans. If he keeps up his good show at camp, he could play more later. But with the Browns maybe looking at a top pick in 2026, his long spot is not sure.

Source link

The Cleveland Browns have a full crowded QB room for the 2025 season.
