<\/a>The issue has the potential to impact a lot of road, all-road & e-road riders since DT Swiss has been selling these popular wheels both on their own and as OEM equipment that may have already come with a bike when you bought it. The good news if you are a DT ERC<\/a>, CRC<\/a>, or HEC carbon wheel owner, this only seems to affect wheels manufactured from September 2024 on. And DT has a simple tool on their voluntary recall webpage that makes it easy to check your product serial number.<\/p>\n Affected wheels will have a DT Swiss ID number greater than 2,750,000. You can find that UD number on a sticker between the spokes, on the rim tape, or even under the tape directly on the rim bed. I double-checked mine even though I’ve been riding them without issue since 2021, and confirmed that they are not affected. <\/p>\n Other carbon wheelset ranges like GRC & ARC are not affected, even though your wheels may have a higher DT Swiss ID. I double-checked my GRC wheels with a higher number, and the DT Swiss recall website confirmed that they were fine.<\/p>\n So what’s next after identifying if your wheels are affected? “DT Swiss is working intensively to investigate the root cause.
