Haaland destroyed Leipzig in a stunning show of ruthless brilliance to send Manchester City into the Champions League quarter-finals.<\/p>\n
Their last-16 tie was evenly-poised after a 1-1 draw at the Red Bull Arena, but the Etihad was treated to a commanding 7-0 victory<\/strong><\/a> on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n Haaland became the third player in Champions League history to score five goals in a game \u2013 there are many more of such unfathomably phenomenal statistics<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to marvel at \u2013 with Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin de Bruyne offering their two cents in the second half.<\/p>\n Pep Guardiola is no fun, however, and thus substituted Haaland with about half an hour remaining.<\/p>\n The Norwegian was robbed of the opportunity to complete a double hat-trick but was given arguably an even greater honour: a standing ovation from Ferdinand from the BT Sport studio.<\/p>\n Even clapped off by a United legend.
