Gyokeres joined the Gunners<\/a> from Sporting Lisbon in July for \u00a363.7million.<\/p>\n

He has since scored twice in three Premier League<\/a> appearances after a brace against Leeds last month.<\/p>\n

His scoring start in north London has coincided with a song created by supporters being chanted from the stands.<\/p>\n

Set to the tune of Salt-N-Pepa’s ‘Push It’, the chant references Gyokeres’ alleged split from his girlfriend prior to joining the club.<\/p>\n

According to reports in Portugal, the 27-year-old ended his relationship with actress Ines Aguiar in preparation of leaving Lisbon.<\/p>\n

However, neither Gyokeres<\/a> nor Aguiar have publicly addressed the split and they both still follow each other on social media.<\/p>\n

Despite that, the song includes the lyrics: “He dumped his girlfriend, to play in red and white.”<\/p>\n

Gyokeres was asked about the Arsenal fans after joining up with the Sweden squad on international duty.<\/p>\n

He was full of praise for the supporters, telling Sportsbladet<\/a>: “They have been absolutely incredible.<\/p>\n

“They have shown me an incredible amount both during and outside of the games. I am extremely grateful for that.”<\/p>\n

When asked about the chant, though, he replied: “I have no comments about the song.”<\/p>\n

Gyokeres is understood to have started dating Aguiar in January 2024, with their relationship lasting over a year before their reported split.<\/p>\n

When is Gyokeres next playing?<\/h2>\n

The Swedish striker is currently on international duty with his national team ahead of this week’s World Cup qualifiers.<\/p>\n

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side face Slovenia and Kosovo as they look to make a winning start to their campaign.<\/p>\n

If successful, it would be the first time since Euro 2020 that they have qualified for a major tournament.<\/p>\n

Sweden’s group is completed by Switzerland, with the winners earning a spot in Canada, Mexico and the USA next summer.<\/p>\n

Gyokeres made his senior international debut as a 20-year-old in 2019.<\/p>\n
