The Nigerian international has only been with Racing Louisville for a couple days now, but has high expectations for her first season in the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/equalizersoccer.com\/category\/nwsl-national-womens-soccer-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Women\u2019s Soccer League.<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kanu comes to the U.S. with plenty of success to her name, especially from her time in Mexico with Tigres. Kanu scored 20 goals in 30 regular-season matches, finding immediate success with the club and winning the 2022 Apertura title against Club Am\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>That success was noted by Racing Louisville, who expressed interest in signing the young African striker. Racing paid top-dollar, too. <a href=\"https:\/\/equalizersoccer.com\/2023\/02\/01\/sources-racing-louisville-uchenna-kanu-transfer-tigres-record-liga-mx-nwsl-fee-150000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>The Equalizer<\/em> broke that Kanu\u2019s transfer fee was $150,000, and included a $30,000 payout, too,<\/a> if Kanu scores more than 12 goals in the 2023 season.<\/p>\n<p>Kanu said, in an exclusive interview with <em>The Equalizer,<\/em> that there is certainly pressure on her to perform, but she\u2019s ready to do her job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is my job. I\u2019ve been doing this for a while,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t have any fear. I will believe in myself, and what I can do. I cannot wait to be the best that I can be in this league and make a name for myself, and my family.
