<\/div>\n \n Preeti Pal finished second in the women\u2019s 100m T35 event at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi on Sunday <\/div>\n India won four medals on Sunday to wrap up its most successful outing ever at the World Para Athletics Championships, finishing with 22 medals on a dramatic final day that saw medals being upgraded and a sprint run again because of technical faults.<\/p>\n Simran Sharma got silver in the 200m T12 clocking 24.46 seconds for a new Asian record. Simran, who initially finished third, was upgraded after winner Venezuela\u2019s Alejandra Lopez was disqualified for violation of rule 7.10.4, which prohibits the guide from giving any undue advantage to the athlete.
<\/p>\n In javelin throw F41, Paris Paralympics gold medallist Navdeep Singh finished second behind Iran\u2019s Sadegh Beit Sayah, who avenged his Paris disqualification with a new PB of 48.86m.
<\/p>\n Sandeep took bronze in the 200m T44 but there was drama in the 100m T35 when the starting gun fired twice but the race was completed. Technical officials took more than an hour to decide it would be re-run, Preeti clocking 14.33 seconds to place second.
<\/p>\n Meanwhile Saturday\u2019s silver medallist Soman Rana was pushed to bronze after Brazil\u2019s appeal to consider Thiago Dos Santos\u2019 best throw as legal was upheld, giving him silver.
