The Chiefs are nearly out of the division title race, which they&#8217;ve clinched every year since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas City has been plagued by penalties (fifth-most penalty yardage in the NFL). Its pass rush (22 sacks) and inability to create turnovers (11) have also not helped its cause.<\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs will face the Houston Texans, Chargers, Tennessee Titans, Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders in the last five weeks of the regular season.<\/p>\n<h2>Andy Reid on Patrick Mahomes&#8217; performance in loss vs. Cowboys<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/nfl\/news-we-can-lose-anybody-patrick-mahomes-puts-chiefs-pump-going-6-6-clouds-playoff-path\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Patrick Mahomes<\/a> completed 23 of 34 passes for 261 yards and four touchdowns in the 31-28 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday. During his postgame press conference, Chiefs coach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/nfl\/news-chiefs-fans-rip-andy-reid-questionable-game-management-brutal-loss-cowboys\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Andy Reid<\/a> backed his quarterback despite the loss.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;He battled his tail off. It&#8217;s hard to look at when you lose a game. But he battled,&#8221; Reid said.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and Kansas City trailing 31-21, Mahomes connected with Hollywood Brown for a 10-yard touchdown.
