Pelicans forward\u00a0<\/span>Brandon Ingram<\/a> and\u00a0<\/span>Celtics guard\/forward\u00a0<\/span>Jaylen Brown<\/a> have been named the NBA\u2019s players of the week, the league announced on Monday<\/a>.<\/p>\n In three games last week, all victories, Ingram averaged 32.3 points, 10 assists and 6.3 rebounds on a stellar .525\/.462\/1.000 shooting line. It looked for a while like New Orleans was in serious danger of falling out of the playoff race, but the team is now 37-37, the No. 8 seed in the West.<\/p>\n Brown, the East\u2019s winner, averaged 31.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists on a similarly excellent .559\/.391\/.714 shooting line. Boston blew out the Kings, Pacers and Spurs last week to go 3-0. The Celtics have the second-best record in the league at 52-23, trailing the top-seed Bucks by 1.5 games.<\/p>\n According to the NBA<\/a>, the other nominees in the West were\u00a0<\/span>Shai Gilgeous-Alexander<\/a>, Jaren Jackson\u00a0<\/span>Jr.<\/a>, Nikola Jokic<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and Naz Reid<\/a>, while\u00a0<\/span>Zach LaVine<\/a>, Tyrese Maxey<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Donovan Mitchell<\/a>, Evan Mobley<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>and Franz Wagner<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>were nominated in the East.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
