Valkanis was referring to Keevers, claiming the referee sent him off \u201cfor no reason\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI asked a question why I got the yellow card, and he said to me \u2018move away\u2019,\u201d the Roar coach said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy did I get the yellow card? If it\u2019s just going to be against me and you want to send me off, just make it very clear.<\/p>\n
\u201cJust tell Brisbane Roar, \u2018it\u2019s better he sits in the grandstand, we don\u2019t want him coaching\u2019.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s really wrong. We\u2019re asking a question, we\u2019re on the sideline, we don\u2019t get answers. It\u2019s like we (the Roar) are playing against everyone, every single time.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s really frustrating. It\u2019s even frustrating on the players. It\u2019s only fair that a question can be asked, you answer that question and you treat it with respect, that question.\u201d<\/p>\n
Valkanis claimed the Roar had been \u201cpre-judged\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis has happened from pre-season … 100 per cent pre-judged. From pre-season we\u2019ve been attacked like that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Saturday\u2019s win was sweet revenge for the Mariners following that controversial December 31 loss, and was a fighting victory after D\u2019Agostino, who last month signed with the Roar on loan from Norwegian club Viking, put Brisbane ahead late in the first-half.<\/p>\n
It was the first time the Socceroos striker, who turns 28 later this month, had scored for Brisbane since April 2019.<\/p>\n
He left the club the following season to join Perth Glory, a move that was followed by a switch to Melbourne Victory before his departure for Norway in January 2023.<\/p>\n
However, the Mariners were quick to respond to D\u2019Agostino\u2019s 44th-minute strike, equalising in first-half stoppage-time through Miguel Di Pizio.<\/p>\n
The 20-year-old attacking weapon got in front of Roar defenders James McGarry and Dimitri Valkanis to slam home a cross from Mariners left-back Lucas Mauragis.<\/p>\n
The hosts felt they should have been given another chance to take the lead five minutes into the second-half when attacker Michael Ruhs went to ground in the Mariners\u2019 penalty area after being tackled by Brad Tapp.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\nHowever, rather than award Brisbane a spot kick, referee Lachlan Keevers waved play on, and there was no VAR intervention.<\/p>\n
The Mariners then completed their comeback, and in the process secured back-to-back wins, with a goal from right-back Storm Roux after Brisbane failed to deal with a corner.<\/p>\n
Moon said his team deserved its win.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt we controlled most of that match, and probably got our just rewards for the performance,\u201d the Mariners coach said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re actually pretty disappointed with the goal we conceded because it was a pretty sloppy turnover.\u201d<\/p>\n
Changing it up<\/b><\/p>\n
D\u2019Agostino\u2019s inclusion was one of three changes Brisbane coach Michael Valkanis made to the team that started in the previous Saturday\u2019s 4-1 loss to Newcastle.<\/p>\n
Also called into the starting team was another forward, Michael Ruhs, and defender Hosine Bility.<\/p>\n
Two of the changes were forced due to a hamstring injury suffered by influential skipper Jay O\u2019Shea and the suspension of English striker Chris Long, who was sent off against the Jets.<\/p>\n
Striker Justin Vidic was the other omission, with the ex-Newcastle marksman dropped to the bench.<\/p>\n
The Mariners made two changes to the team that started in last Sunday\u2019s 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory.<\/p>\n
Tapp came in for the suspended Nathan Paull, while Harry Steele was drafted into the midfield at the expense of the injured Alfie McCalmont.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
