Former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Torry Holt has now spent 12 years waiting for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. Despite his decorated career with the Rams, his name has repeatedly been left off the final list of inductees.<\/p>\n
Although Holt has typically remained patient throughout the process, he admitted during a Thursday appearance on Up and Adams with Kay Adams that he was disappointed not to be selected to the 2026 class.<\/p>\n

He was a semifinalist in all those years and reached the final stage for seven consecutive years.<\/p>\n The St. Louis Rams selected Torry Holt with the sixth pick in the 1999 NFL draft. He spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Rams, where he became a key figure in the team\u2019s high-powered offense known as the \u201cGreatest Show on Turf.\u201d<\/p>\n Across 11 seasons, Holt totaled 920 receptions, 13,382 receiving yards and 74 touchdowns. He earned seven Pro Bowl honors, captured a Super Bowl championship and made history by recording six consecutive seasons with at least 1,300 receiving yards.<\/p>\n Holt also led the league in receiving yards twice, reaching 1,635 yards in 2000 and 1,696 yards in 2003. He earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2003, added a second-team selection in 2006 and made five straight Pro Bowl appearances from 2003 to 2007.<\/p>\n Holt was also quite durable, as he missed only two games during his decade-long time with the Rams.<\/p>\n Holt built a r\u00e9sum\u00e9 that compares favorably to several Hall of Fame receivers, yet his wait for a gold jacket continues. Andre Johnson, who had 14,185 yards, became the last receiver inducted before this year in 2024, while Calvin Johnson<\/a> previously earned enshrinement with 11,619 receiving yards.<\/p>\n Also, a number of Holt\u2019s teammates from the Rams offenses of the 2000s have already been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including quarterback Kurt Warner, running back Marshall Faulk, fellow receiver Isaac Bruce and offensive lineman Orlando Pace.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
