Emerging Indian leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi revealed that he missed the Class 12th board exam to take up the opportunity of being Rajasthan Royals\u2019 net bowler during IPL 2018. The youngster has come a long way from being a net bowler to playing for India at a very young age.<\/p>\n
Ravi Bishnoi, who will be part of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2023, spoke on the LSG\u2019s podcast, where he opened up about his childhood, his aspiration to be a cricketer, his Under-19 days, and much more.<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old was keen to make a progress in the world of cricket. Though his father, was unhappy with skipping the exam, however, his coach wanted him to take up the opportunity to showcase his skills.<\/p>\n
\u201cI missed Class XIIth boards as I was a net bowler with Rajasthan Royals. My father called me and sternly asked me to come back but the coach told me that I will have to be there. Then I decided to skip the boards that year but finished it next year,\u201d<\/strong> Bishnoi said on the LSG\u2019s podcast.<\/p>\n Bishnoi will lead Lucknow\u2019s spin bowling attack along with Krunal Pandya and Amit Mishra. Ravi Bishnoi, who was part of India\u2019s setup in 2022 has been dropped from the side to play Ravichandran Ashwin in the 2022 T20 World Cup.<\/p>\n Now, the promising spinner will have a point to prove in this edition of IPL\u2013and make a strong case for his return to the Men in Blue.<\/p>\n Ravi Bishnoi continued he joined the cricket academy at the age of 10\u2013and had the idea of quitting his studies when he was 15 as used to get little time for cricket. Speaking on the epic final against Bangladesh in the Under-19 World Cup, where India lost to Bangladesh\u2013and things got ugly after the match there was a scuffle between the players.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the U-19 WC final, they were sledging our batters a lot, and they did cross the line, and when our turn came we returned the favour. After the win, they crossed the line.
