Seattle Seahawks<\/a> wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has made it clear: He believes he deserves to be the NFL\u2019s highest-paid player at his position.<\/p>\n In a recent interview with WFAA\u2019s Jonah Javad, the 2025 AP Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl champion stated he wants the Brinks truck treatment.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe I deserve to be the highest paid in my position. Just what I give to the game and the community, I give it my all, and I think that\u2019s worth a lot more,\u201d he said, as transcribed by Pro Football Talk<\/a>.<\/p>\n Despite the belief in his personal value, Smith-Njigba emphasized his passion for football.<\/p>\n \u201cI would play this game for free,\u201d he said. \u201cI love this game so much. But you don\u2019t have to, and I\u2019m learning to be a good businessman, and we need that check at the end of the day.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Smith-Njigba added that he\u2019s not rushing negotiations.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really not too pressed right now to get it done,\u201d he said. \u201cI know my time is coming, and when we get it done, it\u2019s going to be a great deal.
