Australia has been dealt a big World Cup injury scare as Mohamed Tour\u00e9 limped off the pitch nine minutes into Norwich City\u2019s clash with Sheffield Wednesday on Thursday morning AEDT.<\/p>\n

Tour\u00e9, who had scored five goals in four games since joining the Championship side from Danish club Randers, appeared to have sustained a groin injury, according to the BBC.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old striker pulled up chasing a long ball over the top, and Australians fans will be hoping the injury is on the minor end with the Socceroos\u2019 World Cup campaign beginning in Canada in roughly three-and-a-half months.<\/p>\n

Norwich led 2-0 in the second half against the already relegated Owls.<\/p>\n

Canaries manager Philippe Clement is expected to provide an update on Tour\u00e9’s fitness after the match.<\/p>\n
