However, the team failed to perform well in crucial matches and was eliminated in the Super 8 stage. Pakistan were able to win only one match in the Super 8 round and failed to qualify for the semi-finals.<\/span><\/p>\n Pakistan had an excellent opportunity to get a ticket for the semi-final as they had to defeat Sri Lanka in their last Super 8 match by more than 65+ runs. Pakistan batted first and played exceptional cricket, putting a massive 212 runs on the scoreboard. Therefore, despite winning the match, Pakistan fell short with the net run rate and failed to get into the semi-final spot.<\/span><\/p>\n The PCB has decided to impose heavy fines on players after Pakistan\u2019s poor performance in the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026. As per the media reports, the board believes that players are rewarded for good performances, so they should also face consequences for poor performances.<\/span><\/p>\n As per the report, each centrally contracted player who was part of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad has been fined PKR 5 Million (Rs. 16.8 Lakh).<\/span><\/p>\n Pakistan T20 Team captain Salman Ali Agha<\/a> failed to deliver a good performance both as skipper and player in the last few ICC tournaments.
