Officially the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament<\/strong>, it’s the most exciting event of the season, and legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski<\/strong> wants it to stay that way, without an expansion he considers unnecessary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The tournament, which traditionally begins in early March, brings together 68 of the best teams from the regular season<\/strong>. However, the selection process rarely satisfies everyone.<\/p>\n With 32 spots reserved for conference champions, only 36 at-large bids remain, leaving several potential contenders out of the field<\/strong>.<\/p>\n That’s why NCAA President Charlie Baker<\/strong> has floated the idea of expanding the tournament to 72 or even 76 teams<\/strong>. But for Coach K, such a move would be a serious mistake.<\/p>\n Krzyzewski has long been vocal about his opposition<\/strong> to expanding the NCAA tournament<\/a> bracket.
