What you got?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Westbrook and a few of the journalists in the room engaged in back-and-forths, but most of the conversations fizzled quickly, which prompted the nine-time All-Star to dig in further.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou guys are quiet today,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut you guys have a lot of comments when the game\u2019s going on. After the game. What we\u2019re doing. What we should be doing. How we should be doing it. I\u2019m confused.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Westbrook eventually revealed he was upset by some recent comments made by reporters that he claimed were inaccurate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a leader of this team, it\u2019s my job to speak up for the guys in the locker room,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of the comments you guys make, you\u2019ve got guys thinking about a whole bunch of random things that have nothing to do with the game. You guys are making false comments about our team and what we\u2019re doing here and I don\u2019t appreciate that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy ask is that you respect what we do, and we\u2019ll respect what you do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Westbrook and the Kings have lost three in a row and are now 14-50 on the season. They play next on Monday, in a home matchup with the Bulls.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014<b><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/06\/sports\/russell-westbrook-has-fiery-exchange-with-reporters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Post<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/03\/06\/sports\/russell-westbrook-has-fiery-exchange-with-reporters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><\/b><b>CELTICS SUPERSTAR OPENS UP ON TEARY COMEBACK<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Jayson Tatum made a triumphant return from long-term injury as the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 120-100 in the NBA.<\/p>\n<p>Tatum, making his first appearance since suffering a ruptured right Achilles tendon during the playoffs last May, scored 15 points to help the Celtics secure a commanding win.<\/p>\n<p>Boston\u2019s packed TD Garden had risen as one to give the popular 28-year-old a rousing standing ovation as he took to the court for the first time in 298 days.<\/p>\n<p>The six-time NBA All-Star looked apprehensive during a slow start but looked like his old self after bagging his first points late in the second quarter.<\/p>\n<p>A two-point tip-in dunk got him off the mark, and he followed that up with a confident step-back three-pointer from the corner immediately afterwards to give the Celtics a 55-53 lead.<\/p>\n<p>He added 10 more points in the second half as Boston pulled clear for a win which leaves the second-placed Celtics on 42-21 in the Eastern Conference, hard on the heels of the Detroit Pistons (45-16).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was surreal, it was an emotional day,\u201d Tatum told ESPN after the win. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany days I dreamed about this and it\u2019s great to finally happen. And sharing it with my family, my teammates and the crowd was everything I ever dreamed of.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Tatum admitted that during his long rehab he had even questioned whether he would be able to return.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"sc-11i7hbm-0 eUyOEq\"><amp-img alt=\"Jayson Tatum returned. I\u2019ve still got a long way to go but this is a huge step for me.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Tatum added that his teammates\u2019 impressive form this season had helped motivate him to return.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing around these guys motivated me &#8211; the way they\u2019ve attacked the season, the way they\u2019ve competed together,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoing through rehab is lonely, you kind of feel isolated. You just can\u2019t be out there. But being around them as much as I possibly could just still made me feel like I was part of the group and that helped me a lot.\u201d <\/p>\n<p><b>WEMBY\u2019S EMOTIONAL MOMENT AFTER WIN AS LUCKLESS NUGGETS DEALT ANOTHER BLOW<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, the San Antonio Spurs delivered another statement performance with a come-from-behind 116-112 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.<\/p>\n<p>San Antonio, who had beaten the Eastern Conference-leading Detroit Pistons on Thursday, appeared to be feeling the hangover from that win as the Clippers raced into a 75-20 lead early in the third quarter.<\/p>\n<p>But French superstar Victor Wembanyama led an improbable second-half fightback which saw San Antonio inch ahead in the fourth quarter before snatching victory in the closing seconds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was like a statement to ourselves for sure, like any game is winnable,\u201d said.<\/p>\n<p>Wembanyama, who led San Antonio\u2019s scoring with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks.<\/p>\n<p>Wembanyama was backed by 20 points from Julian Champagnie and 19 from De\u2019Aaron Fox.<\/p>\n<p>In other games, the New York Knicks dished out a 39-point walloping of the Denver Nuggets in Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>OG Anunoby launched six three-pointers to finish with 34 points in a 142-103 blowout.
