Tottenham Hotspur<\/a>\u2019s immediate future certainly looks incredibly bleak, with the club now sitting perilously close to the Premier League<\/a>\u2019s relegation places.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Lilywhites currently sit just two places and one point above the drop zone at present, after Igor Tudor<\/a> suffered three consecutive defeats following the dismissal of Thomas Frank.<\/p>\n

With just nine games remaining in the 2025\/26 campaign, there\u2019s a growing sense of concern that the club could find themselves in the Championship next season.<\/p>\n

The club\u2019s tally of 29 points in 29 games this term showcases the struggles they have endured, with no manager able to get a tune out of the players currently on the books in North London.<\/p>\n

However, despite the recent struggles, the fans do have a reason to be positive, but it could take multiple years for their excitement to come to fruition in the first-team ranks.<\/p>\n

\n Loanees are shining away from Spurs’ relegation plight<\/strong>
\n <\/h2>\n

Over the last couple of years, Spurs have recruited numerous excellent young talents, with many of which potentially having a huge part to play in the senior ranks in the years ahead.<\/p>\n

South Korean winger Yang-min Hyeok is just one player who\u2019s moved to North London, subsequently joining from Gangwon FC back in the January window of 2025.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old has already been on three separate spells on loan in the Championship since his arrival, featuring for the likes of Coventry City, Portsmouth and QPR.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also been in tremendous form during the aforementioned periods in the second tier, subsequently finding the back of the net five times in his 34 appearances.<\/p>\n

Hyeok isn\u2019t the only youngster who\u2019s thriving out on loan from the Lilywhites, with centre-back Luka Vuskovic enjoying his first taste of football in one of Europe\u2019s top-five leagues.<\/p>\n

The Croatian, who cost \u00a312m back in 2024, is spending the year on loan at Bundesliga side Hamburg, even scoring five times in his 22 outings despite his defensive role.<\/p>\n

During his recent showing against Wolfsburg, the 19-year-old won 100% of the ground and aerial duels he entered, whilst also making 17 clearances – 10 of which were with his head.<\/p>\n

Vuskovic is a player who is set for a huge gut ride at Spurs, with his form away from North London this season being nothing short of remarkable.<\/p>\n

Should the Lilywhites maintain their top-flight status come the end of the campaign, the Croatian will no doubt have a regular starting role under any new manager.<\/p>\n

However, he\u2019s currently unable to prevent the club from dropping into the second tier, with all fans undoubtedly wishing he was a player Tudor could call upon.<\/p>\n

Given the precarious situation the club finds themselves in, it would be a risk to unleash such unproven and young talents – but the positives are there for all to see.<\/p>\n

As a result, the manager could turn to the likes of Mason Melia, with the Irish teenager a player who could provide a fresh impetus into the senior ranks between now and the end of May.<\/p>\n

The youngster, who only joined from St Patrick\u2019s Athletic this January, is yet to make an appearance for the club, but that could be about to change in the near future.<\/p>\n

Despite being just 18, Melia has already caught the eye during his professional career, as seen by his tally of 23 goals during his 95 senior appearances to date.<\/p>\n

His tally of 13 league goals last campaign was the second highest in the division, subsequently showcasing the clinical edge he possesses within the final third.<\/p>\n

Melia is also a regular in the Republic of Ireland U21 side, already racking up five appearances at such an age group – even managing to find the back of the net on two occasions.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no doubt there\u2019s a huge jump between the Irish top-division and the Premier League, but the current situation could hand the youngster the chance to become an immediate fan-favourite.<\/p>\n

Natural goalscorers are extremely hard to come by in the modern game, but Melia\u2019s ability in front of goal could make him a huge asset for many years to come.<\/p>\n

If he can carry over his form his homeland to North London, there\u2019s no reason why he can\u2019t have a bigger impact at the Lilywhites than fellow youngster Vuskovic.<\/p>\n
